Welcome back to the Wynn Las Vegas and the Wynn Fall Classic for Day 2 of the European Open Special Edition.
Friday and Saturday played host to the two grueling opening flights that saw 259 and 414 players turn out respectively to create a 673-player field that created a whopping $665,866 prize pool that smashed the $400,000 guarantee. Only 119 players remain today, and the first goal will be surviving until that money bubble bursts when the top 98 players are guaranteed a $1,984 payout for their hard earned efforts.
From there, everyone's focus will be jostling for position as the tournament plays down to the final table of nine that will return on Monday to battle it out until a European Open Special Edition Champion is crowned.
The player in prime position is Egi Adriaans who amassed a massive 410,500-chip stack after going on a heater in the final level of play. Adriaans has a monster lead over his nearest rival who is Day 1a chip leader Joseph Wertz and his 305,500 in chips. The top few chip stacks are held by players of the highest caliber and skill as the top ten combined chip stacks are:
