Stevermer Cold Four-Bets All In

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Dennis Stevermer
Dennis Stevermer

Jon Hanner was under the gun and opened the action with a raise to 1,800. He was three-bet to 4,500 by Daniel Schmidtknecht, who was in early position on Hanner's left. Dennis Stevermer was next to act in middle position and four-bet shoved all in. Action folded back to Hanner, who folded.

Schmidtknecht then found action on him and asked for a count, which was totaled to be 29,100. He went into the tank for over two minutes while Stevermer sat still, staring into the distance. Eventually, he let his hand go and the dealer set the deck down onto the felt to ship Stevermer the pot.

Meanwhile, Jared Koppel was eliminated from the tournament on the adjacent table after finding himself short due to doubling up Ian Matakis. He has since reentered and been seated in the same seat he formerly occupied to get back in on the action as the number of entries has climbed to 26.
