Field at 217

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The tournament clock reads 217 entries with 30 minutes left in Level 11. There will be a 10-minute break at the end of the level that represents the last opportunity to enter or reenter the tournament. The $300,000 guaranteed prize pool has already been surpassed and the field still looks to grow over the last 40 minutes of registration.

Stevermeyer Gets the Real Big Blind Special

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player shoved all in from early position for a little over starting stack and action folded around to Dennis Stevermer, who was in the big blind and called.

All-In Player: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Dennis Stevermer: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Stevermer's bullets remained on top as the board ran out {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, dodging his opponent's gutter to Broadway to see the pot shipped his way when the hand was finished.

Luhm Wins Biggest Pot of the Night So Far

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Stuart Luhm
Stuart Luhm

There was around 20,500 in the middle on a board reading {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} with action heads up between Stuart Luhm in the big blind and Shelly Morrill, who was on the button. Luhm checked to Morrill, who put out a bet of 12,000. Luhm went into the tank for over a half-minute.

"All in," he said softly. Morrill took about three seconds before announcing a call.

Stuart Luhm: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Shelly Morrill: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Luhm had top two pair with the nut flush draw and was poised to deliver a chilling cooler to Morrill for a pot that would end up being greater than 200,000 as long as he could fade the last two fives in the deck. The river fell {7-Diamonds} to earn him the double and he pushed his stack forward to be counted. It was totaled to be 93,300 and Morrill paid it off, taking her under a six-figure stack despite being solidly above average. On the other hand, Luhm has likely taken over the chip lead with a monstrous stack of 210,200.

Clark Finds a Double

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Scotter Clark
Scotter Clark

Tam Le saw action folded to him in the hijack and opened to 4,500. Scotter Clark was on the button and three-bet all in. Action made its way back to Le and he called to send the two off to the races.

Scotter Clark: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Tam Le: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Le had called with a small pair and was slightly ahead of Clark as the flop fell {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. He now needed to fade the eight jacks and tens in addition to the six kings and queens that remained in the deck due to Clark picking up straight and counterfeit two pair outs. The turn {7-Diamonds} gave him three more cards to fade at a counterfeit. However, Clark was unable to miss as the river fell {10-Hearts} to give him a straight and lock in the double.

Matakis Hits 100K With Three Streets of Value

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ian Matakis
Ian Matakis

Ian Matakis opened to 3,300 from middle position and saw Marc Schubbe defend his big blind to take action heads up to a flop of {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Schubbe check-called a continuation-bet of 3,500 from Matakis and the turn came {2-Spades}. Schubbe checked again and Matakis continued, firing out another 11,500. Schubbe called.

The river came {5-Clubs} and Schubbe checked once more. Matakis deliberated for about 35 seconds and then threw out a bet of 22,500. Schubbe went into the tank for about the same amount of time and then dropped in a chip to call.

Matakis tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for top pair of kings with a queen kicker. Schubbe mucked, flashing {k-}{j-} before sending his cards face-down to the dealer.
