Kannapong Thanarattrakul Eliminated in 10th Place (₩13,340,000)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A few minutes into the new level, there has been a double up and two eliminations as Mike Takayama had departed from the feature table and was followed by Kannapong Thanarattrakul.

A raising war between Thanarattrakul and Kazuhiko Yotsushika ended up in the shove for 955,000 by the former and Yotsushika called after he already had nearly half a million in chips invested.

Kannapong Thanarattrakul: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Kazuhiko Yotsushika: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

After a board of {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Yotsushika dodged the over cards, gutshot and counterfit outs of his opponent to win the biggest pot of the tournament so far and reduce the field to the final nine players. Thanarattrakul takes home ₩13,340,000 for his efforts.

There will now be a short break to set up the nine-handed final table.

Bawoo Yun raised to 45,000 in the hijack and Bin Sun in the small blind made it 130,000 to go. Yun moved all in for 475,000 and Sun asked for a count before making the call, he needed two time bank extensions to do so.

Bawoo Sun: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Bin Sun: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop gave Sun a flush draw and while the {q-Spades} turn blanked, the {8-Clubs} river completed the suckout and Sun was eliminated in 9th place for ₩15,871,000.

Chen Doubles Through Vu

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Feng Chen raised it up with the {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Duc Trung Vu called with {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} in the big blind.

On the {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop both checked and the {10-Clubs} followed on the turn. Vu bet 60,000 and Chen called and the {9-Clubs} followed on the river.

Vu cut out a bet of 180,000 and Chen used a time bank extension while staring at the board behind his sunglasses. He then moved all in for 295,000 and Vu had to call just 115,000 more, which he did with a pair of nines on a four-card straight and flush board to get shown the bad news.
