Xiong Busts Chen; Doubles Another Chen

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Tao Chen was all in with the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Fei Xiong looked him up with the superior {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} when the flop showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

The {7-Hearts} turn officially left Chen drawing dead as the blank {9-Hearts} river rolled off .

Just one hand later, another Chen took on Xiong and that was Qifeng Chen. Down to 173,000 he pushed with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} when facing a raise by Shenming Yin from middle position and Xiong moved all in over the top, Yin instantly folded.

Qifeng Chen: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Fei Xiong: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Neither the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop nor the {2-Diamonds} turn provided any help for Xiong and the {5-Clubs} on the river avoided back-to-back Chen eliminations

Lee and Ni on the Rail

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jung Chou Lee
Jung Chou Lee

Just before the end of the level, another two players were eliminated.

First up it was Jung Chou Lee who was all in with the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and runaway chip leader Shenming Yin looked him up with the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. The {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop almost made it a lock for Lee but the {6-Clubs} turn and {7-Spades} river gave Yin a straight.

Both could still laugh about it, snapped a picture of the board and even together before Lee headed to the payout desk.

In the last hand of the level, Xiaohang Ni was all in with the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Hideyoshi Tanaka called with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. There would be no help on the {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} board to reduce the field to the last 46 hopefuls.

Big Double for Wysocki

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Szymon Wysocki
Szymon Wysocki

Szymon Wysocki had been a big stack when he moved to the feature table before the last break but lost a big pot there.

He now had one of those spots again for a lot of chips and ended up all-in for 635,000 against Bi Zhao.

Szymon Wysocki: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Bi Zhao: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Wysocki hit the {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and the {q-Clubs} turn and {8-Spades} river kept him in the running. He would be the only European player still in contention moments later as Paul Newey lost the race against his short stack on the feature table.

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Canlin Chen opened the action with a raise to 35,000 and Fei Xiong three-bet to 120,000. Chen moved all in and Xiong called it off for around 350,000.

Fei Xiong: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Canlin Chen: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

It was a classic flip and Xiong came out on top after a board of {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.
