Zimmerman Doubles Qian

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

With 275,000 in the middle and the flop showing {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Zhiqiang Qian was all in for 587,000 and big stack Joshua Zimmerman looked him up.

Zhiqiang Qian: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Joshua Zimmerman: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Top pair and flush draw gave Zimmerman plenty of outs to crack the aces but he missed the {6-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river to lose a decent chunk of his stack.

Ruihong Tao was all in with the {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and picked up a caller in Yake Wu, who tabled {k-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The board brought {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Tao was drawing dead on the turn.

Another all-in showdown took place shortly after on the same table as Dingxiang Ong first chopped with ace-king versus ace-king and then got it in for around 200,000 with the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Ye Wang made the call with the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and remained ahead on a {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} board.

On a board of {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}, nines remained ahead all the way.

Teh Asks for a Chop; Gets It

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Kilian Loeffler moved all in for 41,000 and Natalie Teh jammed from one seat over, as did Nan Hong behind her to create the following three-way all-in.

Kilian Loeffler: {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Natalie Teh: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Nan Hong: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop brought no help yet to either player at risk but Teh had some chop outs on the {9-Diamonds} turn and asked for it. Indeed, the {3-Diamonds} came on the river to chop the main pot while Loeffler was eliminated.

Lots Of Premium Pairs Around

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Na Wei saw her stack reduced to very few chips when she was all in with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} versus Chunqing Wang with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}, the latter of which belonged to Yang Zhang.

Zhang lost the main pot on a board of {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades} and took another hit in the final hand of the level.

After the {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} turn, Zhiqiang Qian called the shove of Zhang with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and was shown the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. A lucky {k-Spades} came on the river to let Qian double.

Huge Double for Zimmerman

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Joshua Zimmerman
Joshua Zimmerman

Joshua Zimmerman has an evening flight to Hong Kong booked and may have to forfeit it in case he runs very deep in this event. He doubled not long ago thanks to an ace on the river and now he scored another double in the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

Jizhong Wang opened to 30,000 from under the gun and Zimmerman three-bet to 130,000 from one seat over. Out of the big blind, Yake Wu simply shoved for nearly 2 million and Wang folded.

Zimmerman mentioned in table chat that he considered to "gamble" and indeed made the call for 826,000.

Joshua Zimmerman: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Yake Wu: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board delivered the ace on the flop while Wang said in Chinese in table chat he had folded ace-king.
