Nelson Defends His Blind

After an open to 2,000 in middle position, Gordon Nelson elected to defend his big blind with a call. They saw the flop heads up, and Nelson checked to the raiser who tossed out a bet of 1,000.

Nelson called, and the turn came . Nelson elected to lead out for 1,000 this time, and got a call. The river brought the and Nelson again led out, this time for 2,000. His opponent made the call, but mucked his hand when Nelson showed for the flopped pair, and rivered Broadway.

Joinson Decimates Bowers

Chris Bowers was first into the pot with a raise to 2,600 from the hijack. The cutoff called before Connor Joinson came over top with a raise to 7,900 from the button. Bowers called after a few seconds of thought, and the cutoff went deep into the tank.

Eventually he got out of the way, and the flop came down . BOwers checked and Joinson shoved his remaining 20,000 chips. Bowers quickly called, but was in with an underpair of sevens against the jacks of Joinson. on the turn and river changed nothing, and Joinson grabbed a double while leaving Bowers on fumes.

The numbers are all crunched now, and there's a total of $263,800 in the pot to be won. That will be divided 51 ways with the minimum cashers receiving $1,253. All players to make the ten-handed final table are guaranteed nearly $5,000, with $4,880 being paid out for 10th spot, but all eyes are up top at the first place prize of $45,769, on top of the bracelet and the 2020 WSOP Main Event ticket.

Lorne Gill was first into the pot with a raise to 3,800 from early position. He was called by both players in the blinds.

The flop came and it checked to Gill. He fired out a bet of 4,000, and that cleared off the other players.

Knutson's Aggression Takes It

Lorne Gill opened the betting with a raise to 3,200 from the middle. Lyndon Knutson called from the cutoff, as did Deven Lane on the button.

The flop came down and Gill led out for 6,000. After a few seconds of thought, Knutson reraised to 15,000. That was enough to get Lane to muck his hand, but Gill called. The turn came and Gill checked to Knutson who fired 20,000 into the middle. Gill thought for a few seconds, but decided to release his hand.
