The "BigOBoss" Chipping Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Johnny "BigOBoss" Flores raised to 1,200 preflop from middle position after the under-the-gun players limped. Yang Yeng then called from the small blind, the limper did the same, and the trio took a flop of {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Two checks saw Flores bet 5,000 and only Yeng called to see the {4-Hearts} turn.

Yeng opted to lead out for 5,000 only to have Flores instantly jam for 28,000.

That did the trick as Yeng laid down his hand.

Cervantos Sends One Packing

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The under-the-gun player open-jammed for 12,000 and Jose Cervantos opted to make the call.

Jose Cervantos: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
UTG Player: {8-}{8-}

It was a flip but not after the flop came down {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} to pair Cervantos. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor {a-Hearts} river helped the at-risk player and Cervantos scored the elimination.

Flores Doubles Through Berk

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Johnny Flores
Johnny Flores

Johnny Flores and Michael Berk were heads up on a board of {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts} as they sat next to each other, Berk on Flores' left.

With about 18,000 in the pot, Flores checked and Berk bet 11,000. Flores moved all-in for 48,900 sending Berk deep into thought. After several minutes, Berk made the call with his {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} but was in rough shape against the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} of Flores.

The river {4-Clubs} didn't change anything and Flores doubled up to over 100,000 while Berk took a hit, leaving him with 70,000.

Berk Sends One to the Rail

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Michael Berk
Michael Berk

From early position, Michael Berk opened to 1,800 and was called by Adam Thomas on his direct left.

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Berk continued for 1,800 and was called by Thomas.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and, again, Berk led out, this time for 6,500. Thomas counted his stack and then put them all in the middle. Berk quickly called and was in good shape with his {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} against the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} of Thomas.

The river {j-Spades} was clean and Thomas was sent to the rail while Berk increased his stack.

Glab vs. Reynolds

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Voytek Glab raised to 2,100 from the button and Mike Reynolds called from the small blind. The player in the big came along and it was three-way action to the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Three checks saw Glab bet 2,300 and Reynolds raised to 6,500. The big blind folded, Glab three-bet to 12,500, and Reynolds folded.

Not long after, Glab raised to 2,600 from middle position and Reynolds called next to act. The player in the hijack then three-bet to 9,200, Glab called, and Reynolds moved all in for 38,900. The hijack folded and Glab called.

Voytek Glab: {8-}{8-}
Mike Reynolds: {a-}{k-}

It was a big flip and Reynolds wound up the winner after the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Glab was left with 9,100 but went bust a short time later.
