Walsh Adds to His Stack

Ivan Tononi raised to 2,000 from the cutoff with Luke Walsh and Aidan Connolly calling from the blinds.

The action checked through on the 3♣5♣10♦ flop to see the 7♣ hit the turn. Walsh led out for 3,500 from the small blind and only Connolly called from the big blind.

The 3♦ dropped on the river and Walsh bet again, this time for 6,000. Connolly folded his hand and Walsh pulled in the pot.

O'Neill Sniffs Out Mcdonnell's Bluff

Duane McDonnell bet 1,800 from the cutoff on a flop of 2♥K♦J♠ with Richard O'Neill calling from the big blind.

O'Neill check-called another bet from McDonnell when the 3♠ hit the turn, this time for,3200.

After O'Neill checked the 6♥ river, McDonnell fired a third barrel of 6,500. O'Neill seemed not to like it but after pondering for a few moments, flicked in the call.

McDonnell knuckled the table and showed A♣9♠ for a total bluff. O'Neill flipped over K♣7♠ for top pair and took down the pot.

Just before the break, Aidan Connolly got his last 45,000 into the middle on a flop of 2♣3♣5♦ with Eamonn O'Reilly making the call to try and bust him.

O'Reilly was ahead with his set of threes, but Connolly had a flush and straight draw that he could hit. However, the rest of the board came 10♥10♣ to give O'Reilly the winner with a full house, and Connolly was out.

Ward Ends Keown's Tournament

John Keown opeend to 3,000 from middle position with Joe Ward calling on the button and Owen Mullan calling out of the small blind.

When it checked to Keown on the Q♠8♠6♠ flop, he put out a continuation-bet of 5,200. Ward called, but Mullan folded.

Keown shoved for his last 15,100 upon seeing the 4♦ come on the turn. Ward snap-called and the cards were revealed.
