Joe Ward, who has already qualified for Day 2 after being one of the survivors out of Day 1a, raised to 300 under the gun with John Curran calling on the button.
Ward fired a continuation-bet of 500 on the 7♣3♥J♥ flop and Curran slid in the call.
The 6♣ dropped on the turn and Ward bet out for 900. Curran quickly called.
Ward unloaded the clip with a third barrel when the K♠ hit the river. Curran didn't long to fold, and Ward won the pot.
Axel Noack raised from middle position to 300 with Stephen Henderson calling from the cutoff before Hiep Ninh squeezed to 1,100 out of the small blind. Noack and Henderson called.
All three players checked the Q♣A♥J♦ flop to see the 10♦ fall on the turn. Ninh led out for 1,500 and got two quick folds from his opponents.
Mark Harrison opened the action with a raise to 300 from under the gun with Lawrence Townsend calling from the next seat. Mark Harrison three-bet to 800 from the cutoff which got a fold from Harrison, but a call from Townsend.
Townsend check-called a bet of 600 from Mate on the K♦8♥10♣ flop.
The two players both checked the 5♣ turn to see the 8♣ land on the river. Townsend put out a bet of 2,100 and Mate quickly called. Townsend flipped over A♣9♣ for the nut flush and took down the pot.
The action was picked up on the river with around 4,000 in the pot on a board that read 4♠7♥7♣2♥5♣. Darragh Smith bet 4,000 from the button and was check-raised to 16,000 by Gareth Daily out of the small blind.
Smith pondered over his decision for quite some time before reluctantly folding his cards and forfeiting the pot to Daily. Daily started to show his cards, then thought otherwise and slid them face down to the dealer.
Wang Chan checked from early position on the turn on a board that read 8♣4♣3♠6♥. Michael Altena bet 3,000 from the button and was met by a check-raise to 15,000 from Chan. Altena immediately shoved for Chan's remaining 14,000, and Chan went deep into the tank.
After thinking for around a minute and doing some inventory, Chan folded, and Altena pulled in the pot.
The action was picked up on the river with around 22,000 in the middle on a board that read 7♣K♣10♠5♥K♥. Jamie Bryne shoved from the big blind for 20,000 and John Curran snap-called from middle position.
Jamie Bryne : A♠K♦
John Curran : 10♣10♦
Bryne had trip kings with the best kicker but was second best to the full house of Curran. Curran pulled in the pot and Bryne was one of the early casualties of Day 1c.
