Lee Mckay raised to 34,000 from the small blind and Rodrigo Diaz defended out of he big blind.
Both players checked the Q♠7♠10♦ flop to see the K♥ hit the turn, where Mckay check-called a bet of 38,000 from Diaz.
Mckay checked upon seeing the 5♣ come on the river and Diaz bet 125,000. Mckay pondered for around a minute before check-jamming for around 225,000. Diaz instantly folded and Mckay flipped up just the 8♥ as he pulled in the pot.
Netto Libardi raised to 36,000 from early position with Stephen Browne calling from the button and Daire Burke calling out of the small blind. Mircea Rus then squeezed to 135,000 out of the big blind. Libardo folded, but Browne opted to shove his stack of around 225,000 into the middle. Burke folded, but Rus snap-called.
Stephen Browne : 10♣10♦
Mircea Rus : Q♦Q♠
Browne was in trouble with pocket tens and looked poised to be headed to the cashier's desk. The A♦Q♥3♣ flop gave Rus a set, and the 4♠ turn left Browne drawing dead. The 4♥ hit the river to give Rus a boat, and Browne was out of the tournament.
Mark Magee shoved from early postion for around 350,000 and Duane McDonnell called from the button to put him at risk.
Mark Magee: A♣10♦
Duane McDonnell: 9♣9♥
It was a classic flip that both players really needed to win to have a shot of making it to Day 3. The board ran out favorably for Magee as it came 10♠6♦2♣10♥7♦ to give him the winner with trip tens.
McDonnell was left very short-stacked and was eliminated a few hands later.
The action was picked up with the flop reading 9♥7♠10♠. Aidan Quinlan checked from the big blind and Austin Putnam-Johnson checked from early position, but Kevin Killeen bet 75,000 from middle position. Quinlan check-shoved for 285,000 and got a fold from Putnam-Johnson, but a call from Killeen.
Aidan Quinlan: 9♣8♥
Kevin Killeen: Q♣Q♦
Killeen was slightly ahead with his queens but Quinlan could hit a lot of cards to take the lead. The 6♦ turn was one of the cards Quinlan needed, as he improved to a straight. The J♥ fell on the river and Quinlan had doubled through Killeen.
