Mercier Catches Up to Carroll

Al Mercier and Don Carroll were heads up in the blinds and the dealer fanned out the 3♣2♣4♠ flop.

Mercier led out from the small blind for 4,000 and called when Carroll announced a raise to 8,000.

The J♦ turn brought a check from Mercier, calling again after Carroll fired another 8,000. Both players slowed down with checks on the A♣ river.

Carroll showed A♠5♠ for a straight, while Mercier tabled Q♣J♣ for a flush to take down the pot.
