The Regency Ballroom will be buzzing today, as hundreds of qualifiers converge at the Doubletree by Hilton Boston Milford for a shot at Eastern Poker Open glory.
Day 1 of The $34,000 Championship begins at 10:00 a.m. local time, when invited players from Season 34 of the Eastern Poker Tour will take their seats eyeing a spot in the money and a seat in Sunday’s finale.
The field will be trimmed down to the final 16 players, who will each earn $150 and advance to Day 2. Today’s chip leader will also win a Bar Poker Open $400 hotel & seat package.

Each invitee will start with at least 20,000 chips, with some players earning bonus chips to begin play. Blinds will open at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante.
The final 16 remaining players will then join other Day 2 qualifiers from the monthly championships, regional winners, and wild card spots to battle for the title on Sunday.
