Franco Da Matta opened to 2,500 and was called only by Panayiotis Giannakopoulos on the button as they headed to the K♦7♠5♦ flop. Da Matta bet 6,000 to get called and they checked the 6♣ turn to the 8♥ river. Another small bet by Da Matta was called and he flashed the 9♥7♥ for the straight to win a pot against his nemesis.
"I finally beat him," he exclaimed and jumped out of the chair to briefly celebrate, while Giannakopoulos mentioned he had flopped a king.
