On a board of 10♠K♥9♦7♦A♠ with 110,000 in the pot, Hugo Soares in the hijack moved all-in. Benoit Abiven in the big blind went deep into the tank and eventually called off his last 171,000.
Benoit Abiven: K♠Q♣
Hugo Soares: Q♦Q♥
Abiven hero-called with the second pair and it was good enough to double up against Soares' queens.
After he started the day with 29,000, Narciso Machado in the big blind was seen doubling his now 184,000-chip stack through Cedric Frantz in the hijack.
Narciso Machado: 8♦8♣
Cedric Frantz: A♥K♠
Frantz flopped top pair on K♣9♥8♥, but Machado found a set at the same time. The 7♣J♣ runout completed the board, and he doubled up.
The action was picked up on a board of 4♥4♣J♣2♣ with 104,000 in the pot. Arthur Israel in the big blind moved all-in for approximately 90,000 and was called by Louis Vial in the cutoff.
Arthur Israel: J♠10♥
Louis Vial: K♣K♠
Israel found the 10♠ river but it wasn't enough and he was eliminated.
