Sandro Taddei raised to 12,000 from the hijack with only Duane McDonnell calling from the small blind.
McDonnell check-called a bet of 8,000 from Taddei on the Q♠10♥5♣ flop.
The 10♦ turn got checked through for the K♥ to fall on the river. McDonnell led out for 30,000 and Taddei quickly folded. McDonnell flashed AxJx for a straight as he pulled in the pot.
Heads-up on a flop of 6♣Q♦7♦, Conor O'Rourke in the cutoff bet 16,000. Ricardas Lukauskas in the big blind eventually check-called.
O'Rourke fired a second barrel of 25,000 on the Q♠ turn. But it was too much for Lukauskas, who folded.
Larry Ryan moved all-in for 65,000 from early position and he was called by Belarmino De Souza to his left. John Dwyer on the button chose to three-bet all-in for 298,000, and he made Dwyer fold.
Larry Ryan: 10♥10♠
John Dwyer: A♥K♦
Dwyer flopped top pair on the Q♣A♦J♣ flop, then a straight with the 10♣ turn, so Ryan was eliminated after the 7♦ river.
Level: 17
Blinds: 3,000/6,000
Ante: 6,000
The remaining players are now on a 15-minute break.
Ignas Navickas opened to 10,000 from the cutoff, and he was called by Gerard Harraghy, who defended from the big blind.
On a flop of K♥9♦3♣, Navickas continued for 5,000, but Harraghy check-raised all-in for approximately 40,000. Navickas snap-called.
Gerard Harraghy: 9♠7♥
Ignas Navickas: K♣J♦
Both players flopped a pair, but Navickas had the best one and it stayed this way after the 8♣10♥ runout so Harraghy was eliminated.
With the flop showing 8♣5♠8♥ Alec Torelli bet 11,000 from the button and was met by a check-raise to 37,000 by Jonathan Proudfoot out of the big blind. Torelli thought for a few moments, then made the call.
Proudfoot continued with a bet of 100,000 on the 4♣ turn. Torelli called.
The 3♠ dropped on the river and Proudfoot opted to check. Torelli checked back and showed 8♠7♠ for trip eights, which was good as Proudfoot mucked.
