Conrad Coppedge Chips a Few Off Hulin's Mountain

Huey Hulin opened to 3,000 and Conrad Coppedge raised all in for 9,500. Hulin called with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Coppedge had {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Coppedge won the hand, turning a full house against Hulin.

Hulin still has a monster stack, and if he bagged his stack now, he would be the overall chip leader in the tournament.

All-in Three Ways Preflop

Paul Mathers
Paul Mathers

George Crawford moved all-in from under the gun for 12,200 and Paul Mathers called from the hijack. The button called and the small blind folded.

Duc Nguyen, in the big blind, then moved all in for 34,000 more and the action was back on Mathers. After a couple minutes in the tank, Mathers reshoved for 53,000, prompting the button to fold.

Mathers - {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Nguyen - {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Crawford - {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop fell best for Crawford when it came {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, giving him top two pair, and it held through the {6-Hearts} turn and {j-Clubs} river.

Crawford tripled up while Nguyen took down a profit from the side pot.

Derek Cook Has the Best Flush Against Two Players

The board read {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Danny Kilcrease was all in against two players.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and the first player bet 15,000. Derek Cook called.

All three players turned over flushes. The bettor showed {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Kilcrease had {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Cook had the best of it with {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and took down the pot — eliminating Kilcrease.

Overbet by Baker

Dennis Baker
Dennis Baker

Dennis Baker opened from late position to 5,000 and got a single call from Scott Gill in the big blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Gill checked. Baker continued for 6,000 and Gill called.

The {5-Spades} hit on the turn and this time both players checked.

The river came the {j-Spades}, putting three spades on board. Gill checked a third time and Baker went into the tank. After a full minute, Baker bet 35,000.

Gill thought for a minute and then asked, "Do you have anything at all?"

Baker didn't respond, but just waited out his opponent. After about a minute, Gill pushed his cards away and Baker collected the pot.

His opponent called and the flop came {7-}{6-}{4-}.
