Bicknell Loses Some

Level 2 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

There was a substantial pot of about 320,000 already brewing and the board read {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} when we got to the table. After a bit of consideration, the player in the cutoff bet 280,000. His lone opponent, partypoker Sponsored Pro Kristen Bicknell, was on the button and went into the tank for over a minute. She peeked back at her hole cards before she ultimately folded and the dealer pushed the pot to her opponent.

Plesuv Applies Pressure

Level 3 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There were about 66,000 chips already in the middle and the board read {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} when we got to the table. Five players were in the hand and action checked around to Pavel Plesuv who bet 20,000 from the button. The small blind check-raised to 65,000, Jonathan Little folded from the big blind, the hijack folded, and Barny Boatman folded from the cutoff. Plesuv called.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and the small blind bet 106,000. Plesuv called.

The {Q-Hearts} fell on the river and the small blind bet again, 132,000 this time. Plesuv shoved for what looked like about 1,000,000, putting his opponent to a decision for the remainder of his stack.

"What are you trying to sell me here? On what?" asked the small blind. "You don't look comfortable. You've got that nervous cough, too."

After some additional banter and over two minutes in the tank, the small blind ultimately folded, and the dealer pushed the pot to Plesuv.

Kempe Takes One

Level 3 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Rainer Kempe was in the big blind and check-called a bet of 30,000 from the player in the hijack on a {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and both players checked.

The {8-Clubs} and Kempe bet 54,000. His opponent quickly folded and the dealer pushed the pot Kempe's way.

Aldemir Doubles Through Jachtmann

Level 4 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Koray Aldemir in a previous event
Koray Aldemir in a previous event

There were already about 115,000 chips in the middle and the board read {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} when we got to the table. Koray Aldemir checked from the big blind, Jan-Peter Jachtmann bet 75,000 from under the gun, a player folded from middle position, the cutoff called, and Aldemir check-raised to 240,000. Jachtmann shoved, putting Aldemir to a decision for the remainder of his stack, and he quickly called.

Aldemir: {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Jachtmann: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

Aldemir was way ahead with the flopped nuts and Jachtmann needed a lot of help from the deck in order to stack him. Neither the {4-Spades} turn nor the {9-Clubs} river changed anything, so Aldemir took the pot to double up.
