Udo Erlei Eliminated in 7th Place ($100,000)

Level 34 : 3,000,000/6,000,000, 6,000,000 ante
Udo Erlei
Udo Erlei

Andrey Shatilov opened with a raise to 15,000,000 under the gun, with Udo Erlei moving all-in from the cutoff for his last 74,000,000. Shatilov made the call and the cards were on their backs.

Erlei was in great shape to double up with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} versus Shatilov's {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. That was, until the dealer spread the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, leaving Erlei drawing to just one out. Neither the {7-Spades} turn nor the {8-Clubs} river would do it for Erlei as he left the tournament in 7th place.

Shatilov checked again and Ramos fired another 27 million. Shatilov made a straight and so he called to see the {2-Hearts} hit the river. He checked for the third time and Ramos bet 43 million on the river. Shatilov snapped him off and scooped the pot with a straight.

Horak Keeps Greenwood's Rollercoaster Ride Going

Level 33 : 2,500,000/5,000,000, 5,000,000 ante

Sam Greenwood opened to 10 million from under the gun with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Jiri Horak shoved all in for 75 million in early position with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The action folded back around to Greenwood who quickly made the call.

The flop came {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, no help for Horak. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn, however, provided Horak with a straight and flush draw to go along with his two overcards. The river brought the {j-Hearts} and Horak made a straight to earn himself a double up.
