The flop came {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Trickett was still in the lead a pair of sevens. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which was no help to Greenwood but the {10-Spades} on the river gave Greenwood a pair of tens. Greenwood scored a double up and Trickett instantly became the short stack.

Trickett Slips Up Against Hunichen

Sam Trickett pushed all in on the button with {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Chris Hunichen woke up in the big blind with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. He called for his remaining 5.025 million and was in a great position to double up.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Hunichen's two pair put a dent in Trickett's stack.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the action slowed down with two checks to the {q-Clubs} on the river. Greenwood made a small bet 500,000 and Hunichen called with bottom pair to scoop the pot.

Moraes folded, Trickett called, and Greenwood also folded.

Sontheimer was at risk and was in a dominated position. The board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Sontheimer became the first casualty of the day. He will still take home $50,000 for his efforts.

Greenwood Sends Hunichen to the Tank

Chris Hunichen raised to 575,000 from the hijack with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Sam Greenwood defended his big blind with {j-Spades}{6-Spades}. The flop came {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Greenwood check-called a bet of 450,000 from Hunichen.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Greenwood made two pair. He checked to Hunichen again who bet 1.25 million. Greenwood tanked for a couple of minutes and then finally announced all in for 6.4 million. It was Hunichen's turn to think for a while and he eventually made the right fold.
