Sparked by the table chat of chip leader Benjamin Benoit, brief deal discussions broke out. With €100,000, €65,000 and €43,250 to be played for, Benoit wanted to have €80,000 guaranteed and Anatoly Filatov as well as Van Tiep Nguyen to split up the remaining prizes.
Nguyen denied because of the chip difference between him and Filatov, and proceeded to win the next pot against the Russian betting the 
turn for 175,000 into a pot of 150,000 to force a fold.
