Seth Davies was all in for his last 27,300 on the button and was called by Philippe D'Auteuil in the small blind.
D'Auteuil tabled and Davies showed for a classic flip.
The flop came and Davies started to gather his things. The turn was the , and the river was the , giving D'Auteuil quad aces. He smiled, shrugged and said, "Full house."
A big pot was going down in the high roller and Jonathan Jaffe was seen shipping his stack in the middle on the button on a board reading . Maria Ho was in the big blind and said, "I call."
Jaffee tabled for queen high, and Ho showed for top set. The turn was the and Jaffe was left drawing dead. He rapped the tabled and headed for the door as the fell on the river.
Maria Ho has built on her lead and now has more than triple the starting stack after Jonathan Jaffe shipped his entire stack into her top set.
Maduka Meragal got off to a hot start today, but fell at the hands of Kristen Bicknell after running into her pocket aces.
Seth Davies was eliminated earlier but has re-entered, as has Pascal Lafrancois. They are going in different directions, however, as Davies has lost the majority of his stack while Lafrancois has chipped up.
Vishal Singh Maini was under the gun and raised to 6,000. Peter Jetten called from the cutoff, as did Alexander Turyansky on the button.
The flop came and Maini checked. Jetten bet 11,000 and Turyansky folded. Maini thought about it for a moment and opted to call.
The turn was the and Maini checked again. Jetten thought for a moment and bet 20,000 this time. Maini went into the tank and eventually called.
The river was the . Maini checked for a third time, and Jetten went into the tank for a full minute before deciding to check back. Maini tabled two queens for two pair, kings and queens, but Jetten showed for trip kings and scooped the pot.
Over at Marc-Andre Ladouceur's table there were heaps of chips in the middle and Vishal Singh Maini was all in, putting Ladouceur to the test for his remaining chips.
After going into the tank, Ladouceur decided to call.
Maini tabled for top pair, top kicker and Ladouceur disappointingly mucked his cards and headed for the rail.
Peter Jetten raised to 8,000 from the cutoff and action was now on Alexander Turyansky on the button. Before he could act, Jason Koon moved all in from the small blind.
Turyansky asked what his options were, and if the action would change should he call or raise. The dealer confirmed that if he called, Koon's all in bet would stand. If he raised, Koon's all in bet would not stand.
Eventually, Turyansky just called. "Whomp whomp", said Koon with a smile on his face, as he moved his 60,000 chips in the middle.
Jetten folded and Turyansky called. "I've got tens. I've got a great hand", said Koon. To his disappointment, Turyansky tabled pocket jacks. The board ran out dry and Koon was eliminated.
Jason Koon, the man with almost $9 million in live recorded cashes and four high roller titles, is back in action after being eliminated just a few moments ago.
Koon is certainly a fan of Montreal, as his only two cashes in Canada are at the Playground Poker Club. The day is winding down, so look for Koon to make some moves and pad his chip stack before the day is done.
