Kings Are Good for Cemm

Level 27 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

With about 5,000,000 in the pot, on a board reading {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Michel-Claude Baround led out for 2,600,000. Thomas Cemm was in middle position and called.

The river was the {5-Clubs}. Baroud thought about it for a moment and eventually led out again. This time, the bet was for 5,500,000. Cemm pulled down his hood, thought for a moment and wasted no time before deciding to call.

"Nice call", said Baroud, as he tabled pocket fours. Cemm showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and scooped the pot. "Yeah, I know exactly what you had."

Allison Eliminated in a Flip With Zhang; Baroud Hits the Rail

Level 27 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

Mingzhe Zhang raised to 2,000,000 from middle position, and Alexander James Allison moved all in from the big blind for 13,600,000. Zhang thought about it, looked at the tournament clock and eventually called.

Zhang tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} while Allison held {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a classic flip.

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} with the queen right in the window. Allison held the seven of clubs, so both of his remaining outs were still live.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} though, and Allison was drawing dead to the {5-Clubs} on the river, sending him home in 31st place with an extra CA$32,500 in his pocket.

Just before Allison's elimination, Michel-Claude Baroud was short and was eliminated after losing the majority of his stack in an unsuccessful bluff against Thomas Cemm early in the level.

Twitter Contest Winner Joseph Sicko Eliminated in a Battle of Aces vs Kings

Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 100,000 ante
Joseph Sicko
Joseph Sicko

After winning a seat into this event via a contest on Twitter through partypoker LIVE, Joseph Sicko battled his way into Day 4 against over 1100 entrants. Unfortunately for him, his dream of winning CA$1,000,000 fell short today as he ran his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} into Niall Farrell's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

Sicko moved all in from the cutoff position for 14,000,000, only to be called by Farrell in the big blind. When the hands were tabled, it was a sick cooler for Sicko. The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he would be eliminated in 30th place, taking home CA$32,500 for his efforts.

Sicko made the trip to Montreal, Canada from the upper mainland of Albany, New York and has enjoyed his time here for the past few days. He will be sticking around to rail is travel partner, Carl Diveglia, as he is still one of the remaining players in this Main Event.
