The leading player is WSOP bracelet winner, Scott Montgomery, also known for making the final table of the 2008 WSOP Main Event. He starts the day with an impressive 83,450,000 chips, out of the more than 1.1 billion chips in play. Yes. One billion chips!

Twitter Contest Winner Joseph Sicko Eliminated in a Battle of Aces vs Kings

Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 100,000 ante
Joseph Sicko
Joseph Sicko

After winning a seat into this event via a contest on Twitter through partypoker LIVE, Joseph Sicko battled his way into Day 4 against over 1100 entrants. Unfortunately for him, his dream of winning CA$1,000,000 fell short today as he ran his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} into Niall Farrell's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

Sicko moved all in from the cutoff position for 14,000,000, only to be called by Farrell in the big blind. When the hands were tabled, it was a sick cooler for Sicko. The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he would be eliminated in 30th place, taking home CA$32,500 for his efforts.

Sicko made the trip to Montreal, Canada from the upper mainland of Albany, New York and has enjoyed his time here for the past few days. He will be sticking around to rail is travel partner, Carl Diveglia, as he is still one of the remaining players in this Main Event.

Qi Hu Can't Fade the River

Level 30 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante
Qi Hu
Qi Hu

Rayan Chamas was on the button and raised to 3,500,000. Action was on Qi Hu in the big blind and he moved all in for 30,400,000. Chamas got confirmation of the amount and eventually called.

Chamas: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Hu: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Hu was plenty ahead, but the board ran out {j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, with the river giving Chamas two pair, nines and deuces to eliminate Hu in 17th place.

Bussieres Fills Up on the River to Eliminate Kiriopoulos

Level 30 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos

Demosthenes Kiriopoulos got his remaining 32,000,000 chips in the middle against Jonathan Bussieres before the flop. When the hands were turned over, it was a classic race scenario.

Kiriopoulos: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Bussieres: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Bussieres remained out in front after the flop came {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}, but Kiriopoulos would catch up when the {Q-Spades} landed on the turn. When the {5-Diamonds} hit the river, Bussieres sealed the deal with a full house and Kiriopoulos was eliminated just before the dinner break.

Local Favourite Kevin Rivest Ousted

Level 31 : 1,000,000/2,000,000, 200,000 ante
Kevin Rivest
Kevin Rivest

Local pro, Kevin Rivest from Montreal, Canada, was just eliminated in 15th place. Rivest showed no fear as he battled hard throughout the day getting involved in many pots with the chip leaders. Unfortunately, in a recent hand against Philippe D'Auteuil, Rivest got all his chips in the middle in a dominated position. The two players were all in before the flop and Rivest didn't like his chances when the cards were shown.

Rivest: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
D'Auteuil: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Rivest's dream of being crowned the partypoker MILLION North America Main Event champion at his local poker club were dashed.

Mingzhe Zhang

Ari Engel raised to 4,500,000 from the hijack and Mingzhe Zhang moved all in for 38,700,000 on the button.

Engel went into the tank for several minutes before deciding to call.

Engel tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} while Zhang showed {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Zhang was dominated, and the flop of {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} was not helpful, although it gave him some opportunities to chop the hand.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river was the {5-Clubs}, sending Zhang to the rail in 14th place.
