A total of 37 players are coming back at noon local time to play down to the final eight, on this penultimate day of the partypoker MILLION North America Main Event! This CA$5,000,000 guaranteed event has set a Canadian record for biggest prizepool in live poker history. The winner is going to receive CA$1,000,000 and bragging rights for making history!
The tournament reached 1,168 entries, making a prizepool of CA$5,709,750!
The leading player is WSOP bracelet winner, Scott Montgomery, also known for making the final table of the 2008 WSOP Main Event. He starts the day with an impressive 83,450,000 chips, out of the more than 1.1 billion chips in play. Yes. One billion chips!
Niall "Firaldo" Farrell isn't too far behind with 79,000,000, with Philippe D'Auteuil (71,300,000), [Removed:528] (62,350,000), and Jean-Pascal Savard (61,000,000) rounding out the top five stacks.
