Day 1b Started

Welcome to Day 1b of the partypoker MILLION North America Main Event!

partypoker MILLION North America
partypoker MILLION North America

The final online starting day of the partypoker MILLION North America Main Event kicks off in just one hour at 9 p.m. ET at partypoker under tournament ID#138485924 . This Canadian record-breaking event guarantees a huge CA$5,000,000 prize pool with at least CA$1,000,000 guaranteed to the winner for a CA$5,300/$4,000 buy-in.

The opening online day was last Sunday, April 23rd and attracted 31 entries, with 29 unique players and two re-entries. With today's tournament being the last of the online starting days, Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada will host this live event with three opening days from May 5-7 in the coming week. With this massive guaranteed prizepool and a minimum of CA$1,000,000 for first place, this is slated to be the largest prize pool in Canadian live poker history.

Any player deciding to buy in directly on one of the Day 1's will start with 1,000,000 chips, playing 10 levels before bagging for Day 2. Additionally, late registration is open on Day 2 until the end of the second level of play. Players who made it through Phase 1 will compete with the number of chips they carried over, which is the case for most of the players who are playing online today. There are unlimited re-entries throughout all Day 1's and players will continue on Day 2 with their largest stack, should they choose to enter multiple times and bag chips more than once.

Blinds increase every 24 minutes during the online opening days and every 60 minutes during the live opening days. The structure becomes deeper as the tournament progresses, with Day 2 and 3 featuring 75-minute blind levels and the final day featuring 90-minute blind levels.

With 11 players registered so far, the current leader is samygold13 sitting on 1,315,146 chips, with raidershabsjays in second with 1,206,153 and SetKat74 close behind with 1,200,000 chips. With the online Phase 1 qualifier running, and the option to re-enter once today, there are sure to be more entries before registration closes at the end of Level 6 at 10:17 p.m. ET.
