Blumstein Enters the Tournament With a Bang

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The board showed {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Scott Blumstein led out for 140,000 into a pot around 370,000. The cutoff and button both made the call, the turn fell the {j-Clubs}. Blumstein bet 310,000 and again was called by both the cutoff and button.

The river came down the {4-Hearts} and Blumstein checked. The cutoff bet 775,000 and the button folded to Blumstein who after a few moments made the call for the rest of his 340,000 stack.

They both flipped over their hands, Blumstein showing {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for ace high and his opponent revealed {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a missed two-way straight draw. The 2017 WSOP Main Event Champion made the right call and it was good to take down a massive pot.

Boutin's Set of Aces get the Elimination

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

The board read {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Louis Boutin was first to act and led out 255,000 into a pot of approximately 460,000. His opponent called behind and the river came down the {6-Hearts}.

Boutin quickly moved all in, his opponent called with his remaining 405,000 stack and was at risk to be eliminated. Boutin tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} for a set and his opponent flipped over {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for one pair. Boutin took down the pot and has almost doubled his starting stack for the day.

Benger Bets the River

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

The cut-off bet 65,000 and Griffin Benger called from the big blind, an early-position limper called as well. The flop came down {4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and all three runners checked to the {k-Clubs} on the turn.

The three players checked again and the {7-Diamonds} came on the river. Benger led out for 75,000 and both of his opponents folded.
