Level 7 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Darren Elias opened to 55,000 from early position and Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault three-bet to 235,000 from the small blind. The action was back on Elias who jammed all in for 1,020,000 and Carpentier Perrault quickly called.

Darren Elias: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Elias ended up making a straight by the river to double up.

Ramdin Staying Hot

Level 7 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

After a series of preflop raises, three players found themselves all in and all tabled premium hands. Viktor Blom was all in for 700,000 with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Lucas Greenwood was all in for 600,000 with {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, and Victor Ramdin had both players covered holding {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Greenwood was still in a great position to score a triple up. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Ramdin could be heard throughout the room cheering for an ace. Indeed, the {a-Spades} landed on the river and Ramdin clapped his hands as the pot was shipped his way and both Blom and Greenwood were eliminated.

The number of entries has grown to 39 at the second break of the day with just 29 players remaining. Here is a look at some chip counts from around the room.

A Dry Board Favors Watson

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Mike Watson raised to 40,000 from the cutoff and Niall Farrell defended his big blind. It was a dry flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Farrell check-called a continuation bet of 40,000 from Watson.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Farrell checked again. Watson barrelled another 125,000 and Farrell called to see the {9-Diamonds} land on the river. Farrell checked for the third time and Watson jammed all in, which promptly led to Farrell mucking his cards.

Farrell Takes a Tumble

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The flop read {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and the big blind led out for a bet of 200,000 into a pot of around 250,000. Niall Farrell raised to 550,000 from middle position and his opponent made the call.

The turn brought the {q-Clubs} and the big blind shoved all in for 876,000. Farrell asked for a count and then stuck in the chips to call. The big blind turned over {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} but Farrell was ahead with {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. The dealer burned and turned the {q-Hearts} on the river and Farrell was sent back in his seat as his opponent rivered trip queens to double up to over 2,000,000 chips.

The River Slows Down Winter

Level 4 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Niall Farrell raised it up to 32,000 from under the gun and was called by Sean Winter directly to his left and Marc MacDonnell in the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the action checked to Winter who tossed in a bet of 25,000. MacDonnell folded while Farrell called to see the {4-Clubs} on the turn.

Farrell checked again and Winter slid in a bet of 110,000. Farrell paused for a moment but still made the call as the {9-Spades} completed the board. Farrell checked one more time and Winter checked as well with a four-card straight on the board. Farrell turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} which proved to be the winner.
