Allahverdiyev's River Shove Gets Through

Level 7 : 9,000/18,000, 18,000 ante

With the flop down, {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}, two players checked before Maksin Misura bet 70,000 from early position. Orkhan Allahverdiyev made the call, and they went heads-up to the turn after the other two players in the pot folded.

The turn brought the {k-Clubs} and both players checked. When the river came the {10-Hearts}, Misura checked before Allahverdiyev moved all in for around 500,000.

With the decision now on Misura, Allahverdiyev covered his face with his hood and waited for Misura to make his move. After a minutes thought Misura decided to fold and Allahverdiyev swooped the pot.

Shuvalov Eliminates Two

Level 7 : 9,000/18,000, 18,000 ante

The flop was down {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and the all-in button was in front of the U.K.'s Brandon Sheils, with his stack of around 675,000 in the middle. Andrei Vinnikov had called, and the action was on Alexandr Shuvalov.

Shuvalov, who had both players covered thought for a few seconds before he made the call.

Brandon Sheils: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Andrei Vinnikov: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Alexandr Shuvalov: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Shuvalov had top set, Vinnikov was ahead with the straight and Shiels held the nut flush draw.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} to put Shuvalov into the lead with a full house, and the river {9-Hearts} cemented the pot for him as he scored a double elimination.

Ludovic Geilich

Ludovic Geilich recently jumped into Day 1c action after previously playing in yesterday's Day 1b. But it was a case of different day, same luck for the Scot after he was unable to build a stack and busted not too long ago.

The partypoker ambassador will have the chance to re-enter today, so try his luck in the first three levels of Day 2 tomorrow.

Win One and Lose One for Aldemir

Level 6 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Koray Aldemir has just been involved in two back-to-back pots, winning one and losing one.

In the first hand, he faced an all-in for 500,000 into a pot of around 900,000 with the board down {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Aldemir decided to fold on this occasion.

In the next hand, the German defended his big blind after Roman Zhuravlev had opened with a raise to 40,000 from the cutoff. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Aldemir check-called a 40,000 continuation bet to see the {q-Spades} turn. Aldemir checked once more and called a second street barrel from Zhuravlev for 105,000. The river was the {6-Hearts}, and both players checked to a showdown.

Aldemir tabled {5-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a pair of fives, and it was enough to win the pot after Zhuravlev mucked.
