Kudinov's Aces Best Utemov's Kings

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Sergey Lomakin had been eliminated earlier today and his vacated seat was filled with Viktor Kudinov, who got involved into a big pot with Ivan Utemov. The flop showed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Utemov bet 1.2 million with another 1.0 million behind. Kudinov moved all in and Utemov called it off.

Ivan Utemov: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Viktor Kudinov: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The {J-Clubs} turn and {J-Hearts} river run out failed to improve Utemov and he was sent to the rail.

Skripkin Cracks Hasnir's Kings

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Maksim Skripkin raised to 170,000 from early position and the player in the next seat called. With the action now on Richard Hasnir he three-bet to 650,000. The rest of the table folded and Skripkin moved all in for 1.6m, with one player folding before Hasnir snap-called.

Maksim Skripkin: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Richard Hasnir: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Board: {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Skripkin was in big trouble preflop and on the verge of elimination until the flop brought one of his two immediate outs. The turn spade card gave Hasnir additional outs with a redraw to the flush, but the river bricked for him, and Skripkin secured an unlikely double up.

Kozhevnikov Cracks Queens

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Igor Kozhevnikov moved all in for 1,140,000 first to act and Alexey Melnikov tossed in a single chip for the call, all other players folded.

Igor Kozhevnikov: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Alexey Melnikov: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop gave Kozhevnikov a gutshot and sure enough, he improved to a straight with the {Q-Clubs} on the turn. The {6-Spades} river failed to pair the board for Melnikov and Kozhevnikov doubled.

Diego Zeiter was less fortunate and busted from a different table just moments later.

Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

With the majority of the field being European players, Timothy Adams is one of the few exceptions. The Canadian player came back for Day three with 25 big blinds and had already found a spot to move all in.

The action folded around to Armen Khachatryan on the button, and he raised to 200,000. Adams was in the small blind and moved all in for 2,000,000. After the player in the big blind folded, Khachatryan contemplated his decision for 30 seconds before he let Adams pick up the pot preflop.

Skalak Takes From Orman

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The board was down {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and Leonid Orman was facing a 750,000 bet in the big blind from Vojtech Skalak who was on the button. Orman made the call, and the players saw a {q-Hearts} river card.

Orman tapped the table three times to signal a check and Skalak decided to bet 1.5m into the 2.5m pot. Orman went into the tank as Skalak remained still awaiting his opponent's decision. After a minute had passed, Orman slowly moved his cards towards the dealer and sacrificed the pot to Skalak.

Skalak, who is a former partypoker LIVE Golden Chip promotion winner, moves up to 6,000,000.

Yanpolskiy Flips Well Against Denisov

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Boris Yanpolskiy was all in and at risk for 3.22 million before the flop with the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and start-of-the-day chip leader Aleksandr Denisov looked him up with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop gave Yanpolskiy a gutshot and he improved to a pair with the {Q-Spades} turn.

The {K-Spades} river changed nothing anymore and Yanpolskiy put a small dent into the big wall of chips in front of Denisov.

Orman Catches Nikulin Bluffing

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Leonid Orman opened the action with a raise to 175,000 from middle position, and Konstantin Nikulin called in the big blind. The flop came down {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}, and Nikulin check-called a 140,000 bet. Both players checked on the {10-Hearts} turn, and when the river card was revealed to be the {q-Diamonds}, Nikulin led for 175,000.

Orman thought for a minute before he made the call. Nikulin flipped over {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a missed gutshot straight draw, and Orman picked up the pot after he made a good call with fourth pair pocket nines.
