Aido Surging Up the Leaderboard

Level 8 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sergio Aido opened to 40,000 in middle position and Sam Greenwood called directly to his left in the hijack. The rest of the table folded and the dealer fanned the flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Aido checked and Greenwood bet 90,000 which Aido called. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Aido checked again. Greenwood dropped in a bet of 300,000 and Aido tanked for a minute before making the call.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and both players quickly tapped the table. Aido flipped over {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair and Greenwood put his cards in the muck.

Sawyer Wins a Flip

Level 8 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

There was a raise to 35,000 in early position and Jeffrey Sawyer shipped all in for 396,000 in middle position. Artem Metalidi asked for a count from the small blind and soon after made the call. The initial raiser folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

Sawyer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Metalidi: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

It was a coin flip for Sawyer's tournament life and he pulled ahead on the {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. The {6-Spades} and {2-Clubs} changed nothing and Sawyer held on for a double up.

Level 8 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Jeff Gross
Jeff Gross

The final board read {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and partypoker pro Jeff Gross was packing his belongings.

Tabled in front of Gross' chips was his {j-}{10-} for a flopped full house.

Amazingly however, Alexis Urli had his {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} tabled for a rivered Royal Flush to send the partypoker pro to the rail.
