Level 27 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Senthuran Vijayaratnam
Senthuran Vijayaratnam

Upeshka De Silva opened to 1,100,000 from under the gun and was called by Ben Heath in middle position and Senthuran Vijayaratnam in the big blind. The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Vijayaratnam checked to De Silva who bet 1,350,000. Heath called and Vijayaratnam check-raised all in for 10,550,000. De Silva folded but Heath quickly called to put Vijayaratnam at risk.

Heath: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Vijayaratnam: {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Heath flopped top pair but Vijayaratnam had an open-ended straight draw. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave Heath two pair and the {q-Hearts} on the river bricked off for Vijayaratnam. He was the first casualty on the day and will take home CA$40,000 for his efforts.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and both players checked to the {j-Hearts} on the river. Kolonias led out for 3,000,000 this time and Heath mulled it over but decided to let his hand go.

Level 27 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Danick Landriault raised to 1,000,000 in early position and Kevin Rabichow called on the button, as did partypoker pro Joni Jouhkimainen from the big blind.

Broadway for Heath

Level 26 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Ben Heath opened to 800,000 from the cutoff and Erik Lemarquand three-bet to 2,800,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Heath called to go heads-up to a flop of {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Both players checked and the {a-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Heath checked again and Lemarguand tossed in a bet of 4,000,000. Heath used a time extension before just making the call. The river was the {5-Spades} and both players quickly knuckled the table. Heath showed {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a straight and Lemarquand mucked his cards.
