Blanco Binks the River

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Francisco Jose Blanco Racionere made it 5,000 to go from the button, and Anatoly Filatov came over the top for 16,000 total from the small blind. Back on Blanco he emptied the clip for 57,400 and Filatov quickly cut out the call and flung them over the betting line.

Blanco: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Filatov: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop was safe for the partypoker Ambassador, so was the {9-Hearts} though it did open up for the Russian being counterfeited. The {A-Diamonds} river gave Blanco the better two pair, and he raked in the pot.

Filatov, who is currently bringing a go-pro around him on the circuit to document his feats, took the camera and zoomed in on the Blanco's newly won stack, and noticed in the process that the two competitors had a similar pair of sunglasses but in two different colors.

"Blue versus red," said Blanco when he caught the eyes of Filatov.
"It's the cold war," Blanco continued, getting quite a few laughs around the table.

Despite losing the first battle, Filatov definitely hasn't lost the war. He's still very much in it with almost double that of an average stack.

Meciar Gets Lawyered

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Poker Room
Poker Room

Martin Mečiar made it 5,500 from first position, and the German playing under the nickname Advokat reraised to 13,500 from the next seat over. Meciar called and checked his option on the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, and Advokat continued for 13,000 prompting a shove of 53,100 from the Slovak. Advokat didn't waste much time before announcing all-in himself, and hands were on their back.

Meciar: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Advokat: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Advokat was in the lead with top pair top kicker, but Meciar had plenty of outs holding both a flush draw and a gutshot straight draw. The turn {J-Spades} didn't complete anything for Meciar, and neither did the {3-Clubs} and thus Meciar hit the rail. Meciar experienced quite the success in this very room when he won the Eureka Main Event for €87,600 back in 2014, but he will have to make use of a re-entry if he wants to add this partypoker LIVE Million Germany High Roller title to his resume.

Two More Levels of Late Registration

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Blinds just went up to 1,200/2,400 with an ante of 300. The field has grown to 84 entrants with 61 remaining in their seats.

Late registration will stay open until the start of Level 11, meaning there are two more full levels and a 15-minute break for players to get into the action for the first time or re-enter if they were eliminated.

SUPER_MARIO Snags a Pot From Filatov

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
SUPER_MARIO
SUPER_MARIO

The action folded around to Filatov on the button who raised to 5,000 with a player calling from the small blind SUPER_MARIO calling from the big blind.

SUPER_MARIO bet 7,000 after it was checked on a {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. Filatov called after he asked SUPER_MARIO how much he had behind and his opponent mumbled with his shirt covering his mouth a number which should have been around the 75,000 chips he had in his stack.

The player in the small blind folded bringing the {2-Clubs} to the turn. SUPER_MARIO check-called a bet of 12,000 from Filatov.

SUPER_MARIO checked again when the {2-Diamonds} completed the board and was surprised when Filatov did the same. He collected the pot after he turned over {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Filatov mucked his cards.

Behrens Starts Strong

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

With 13,000 already in the pot, Aleksandar Tomovic threw out a bet of 6,500 on a {7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board, and both Kacper Pyzara and Hermann Behrens made the call. The river came the {Q-Clubs}, and Pyzara wasted no time firing 27,000 after being checked to. Behrens gave it some consideration before putting both Tomovic and Pyzara to the test by announcing all-in. Neither opponent wanted a part of that, however, and Behrens raked in the pot, almost doubling his starting stack within the first level of play.

Too Expensive for Sekularac

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Michal Mrakes raised it up to 4,500 preflop, and only newcomer Ognjen Sekularac made the call out of the big blind. Sekularac check-called 5,400 on the {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{K-Spades} flop before the players checked through the {8-Diamonds} turn. Sekularac fired out 7,100 on the {3-Clubs} river, but Mrakes had other plans and put in a healthy raise to 34,000.

"Really?" Sekularac asked rhetorically.
"I call 24,000," the Serbian continued, but still didn't get a reaction from Mrakes.

Ultimately Sekularac threw his hand into the muck, and Mrakes raked in the pot.

Filatov Eliminates 7andar

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Partypoker Ambassador Anatoly Filatov started yesterday on fire and it was no different for him on Day 2.

The action folded around Germany's Hoa Bui Chi in late position who opened with a bet of 4,000. Slovakia's 7ander called from the button and Filatov called from the big blind to make it three-handed to the flop.

Filatov and Chi both checked on the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades} flop before 7andar bet 10,000. Filatov called and Chi folded.

Both players checked when the {3-Clubs} appeared on the turn before the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Filatov led out for 175,000 and 7andar went into the tank. He was mentioning combinations of cards that Filatov might have while his opponent stared straight out into space.

He eventually called his remaining stack of fewer than 50,000 chips and mucked his hand after Filatov turned over {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for two-pair.

After the hand, 7andar stayed at the table for a moment asking about the structure for the remaining of the day. After getting up from the table, he mentioned he would re-enter before late registration closed in about two hours.
