Among the players to double their opening stack is Slovakia's Andrej Desset with around 240,000 in chips. A good part of his stack came in a hand where he held ace-king. He chipped up in a big way after he was able to get his opponent who was holding pocket tens to get all his chips in the middle on an ace-high board.
Desset was relatively unheard of until a couple of months ago. In early April he shipped the partypoker Grand Prix Vienna Main Event for €92,530. As if that wasn't enough, a couple of weeks later he took down the partypoker Grand Prix Germany Main Event here at King's Casino for a cool €100,000.
