Kuljinder "Kully" Sidhu was one of the players to late register in today's field. He is also one of the more friendly and talkative players noticed in the field.
He has been quietly chipping up and now has around 280,000 in chips. In a recent hand, he bet 12,500 on a board. His opponent tanked for a minute before he reluctantly called. Both players then checked after the completed the board on the river.
Sidhu turned over while his opponent quickly flashed that he held before he tossed away his hand.
As we reported earlier in our coverage, partypoker Ambassador Natalia Breviglieri won the Charity Event in style earlier today to raise €10,000 for the Lindsey Lodge Hospice. After the event, Breviglieri entered and was eliminated from the Main Event before doing the same in the €110 King's Big Bang. She shared she doesn't plan to re-enter either event today and might hop into a cash game. She also intends to join tomorrow's Day 1f field of the Main Event.
Here is a look at video highlights from the Charity Event:
Players are on their final 15-minute break of Day 1e. Late registration will remain open for one more level or through the end of Level 10. Players can also re-enter one time during this period if eliminated provided that it is their only re-entry of the day.
EPT Champion Jan Bendik hasn't had the best day. He was first eliminated on Day 2 of the High Roller before losing his first bullet on Day 1e of the Main Event.
Bendik just hit the rails again after he check-raised all-in holding five-four on a nine-six-three flop. Bendik was unable to nail the straight or otherwise improve his hand after his opponent called leaving him with about 5,000. Soon after he got his very short stack in the middle was eliminated from Day 1e.
Players still have 10 minutes to late register today or re-enter provided they haven't already done so for Day 1e. Players can fire two bullets again tomorrow for Day 1f and on Sunday for the turbo Day 1g.
Meanwhile, the High Roller is hand for hand with 11 players still in the field and 10 walking home with at least a €4,000 payday,
Blinds have increased to 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 400. Late registration also just ended for today's Day 1e flight with 10 blind levels in the books. Those wishing to still join or rejoin the Main Event will have two chances in Day 1f on Saturday and another two chances during Day 1g on Sunday.
Day 1e will be in the books once this blind level and one more are completed.
Since his last double-up, Matúš Schnierer was quiet for the past few hours. That all just changed after he called a preflop bet from the button with seven-six suited and the player from the big blind also called.
The action checked around on an ace-six-three flop before Schnierer bet on the turn when another six appeared.
The player in the big blind called and then led out for 30,000 when a queen appeared on the river. Schnierer jammed for about 150,000 which almost covered his opponent who called. Schnierer collected a huge pot of around 320,000 after his hand proved good.
Meanwhile, on another table, Kuljinder Sidhu's stack went down to about 220,000 and Tomas Fara on the same table caught playing online poker at the same time as playing the Main Event has about 100,000 more with 320,000.
