Looking For Value at King's Casino?

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

A few hours ago, the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany No Limit Hold'em 8-Max kicked off the first of its two opening days.

The tournament features a reasonable €1,100 buy-in along with a lofty €200,000 guarantee. Currently, there are 37 entrants, meaning that there is tons of value for players late registering today and in the other turbo opening day taking place tomorrow.

There's a First Time for Everything

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Avraham Cohen made it 40,000 to go from first position and Robert Lenz a few seats over reraised to 110,000. Jiri Horacek right behind him moved all-in for 357,000 total, and when the action was back on Lenz, he went deep into the tank.

"I've never folded this hand," he said when he finally resurfaced.
"You must have kings. Queens is an easy fold," Horacek responded.
"I don't know where you usually play, I don't fold queens every day," Lenz shot back.

Ultimately the German turned over {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and threw them into the muck, and Horacek was kind enough to return the favor by showing {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

Quad Queens For chiKKita banAAna

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Yehuda "chiKKita banAAna" Cohen

A Yehuda vs. Yehuda battle just took place. The action folded around to Yehuda Cohen on the button, otherwise known as chiKKita banana or Chikkita for short, who made a small raise.

Yehuda Bardugo with a short stack jammed from the small blind. Chikkita asked Bardugo how many chips he had. Bardugo responded 275,000. Chikkita asked if he was sure since a few hands before he lost some chips calling off with five-three when a player claimed to be super short in chips and quoted an amount of half of what he actually had.

Chikkita called after he appeared satisfied that his opponent gave an honest assessment of the size of his chip stack.

Chikkita: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Bardugo: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Chikkita gave a fist-pump when a queen appeared on the flop as Bardugo began to stand-up. To add insult to injury, another queen came on the river to give Chikkita quads.

Chikkita, who dipped below 1 million in chips piled up enough chips to get back over this threshold after the hand while Bardugo finished just shy of the money with 142 players now remaining and 100 getting paid at least the minimum payout of €2,000.

Pitzanti Peels Some Chips From the Banana

Yehuda Cohen, aka chiKKita banAAna, has been active on a table that includes Kuljinder "Kully" Sidhu and Rehman Kassam. Being active doesn't always mean he is winning every hand he has played in.

He was just recently involved in the bad end of a 1 million chip pot with Sandro Pitzanti. The hand began with Cohen raising from early position with pocket twos and getting a call from Pitzanti from the small blind who held king-queen.

Both players checked the {K-}{4-}{j-} flop before Pitzanti led out for 50,000 when the {10-} on the turn. Cohen raised to 150,000 and Pitzanti called.

Pitzanti checked when the {4-} completed the board on the river before he called a bet from Cohen who fired out a bet for 255,000.

Pizanti now has over 1 million in chips while Cohen for the second time in an hour dipped below just below seven-figures in chips.

Meanwhile, we learned that popular partypoker streamer and Dusk Till Dawn regular Jonty Willis, aka pigeon, busted out of the tournament during Level 17. We will try to catch up with him on dinner break to learn the details for his fans.

Akenhead Doubles While 'Kallllle' Concedes

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
James Akenhead
James Akenhead

The action folded around to Thomas 'Kallllle' Pedersen in the small blind and he moved all-in for 259,000 total. James Akenhead in the big blind gave it a good, hard think before committing his 255,000, and hands were on their back.

Pedersen: {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Akenhead: {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Akenhead was ahead, and after the {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop the former November Niner had the Dane needing backdoor cards to secure the knock-out. By the {2-Diamonds} turn it was all over for Pedersen, and the {A-Hearts} river was just for show.

The Dane barely had an ante left but managed to win the next one putting his stack up to 28,000.

"What a comeback this would be," he said sheepishly, but he busted a few hands later when he couldn't quite beat the nut flush of an opponent.
