Value Town in the 8-Max

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

The partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany No Limit Hold'em 8-Max kicked off the first of its two opening days and as of now looks like it will provide huge value to anyone that enters. There are currently 64 entrants ponying up the €1,100 buy-in with four more blind levels today and a turbo flight tomorrow morning. At least another 136 entrants need to join the tournament for the buy-ins to meet the huge €200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Kassam Doubles Near the Bubble

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Rehman Kassam
Rehman Kassam

Rehman Kassam has been wearing self-designed t-shirts through the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany poker festival. We learned from some of his friends that this isn't something uncommon.

Kassam has had a short-stack for the last few blind levels. Just moments ago he three-bet jammed for 5 1/2 big blinds or 135,000 chips with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and got a call from an early position opener who held {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a classic flip situation.

Kassam's opponent lost some of his outs with the monotone {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. The turn and river were blanks and Kassam's stack shot up to 330,000. In terms of big blinds, this is the most Kassam has had in awhile with almost 14.

A few more players have left the field which is now down to 107 players. The bubble will likely come either this blind level or the next one with the top 100 players guaranteed to be paid at least €2,000.

Tomovic Chops, Gosk Gets Grand

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Aleksandar Tomovich
Aleksandar Tomovich

Third place finisher in yesterday's €2,200 High Roller, Aleksandar Tomovic, has been getting quite short these last few hours. He just put his last 320,000 at risk from the small blind after a button open from Brazil's Rinaldo Radler De Aquino Filho, and Filho ultimately made the call.

Tomovic tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, Filho tabled {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}, the dealer tabled {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}, and the pot was chopped.

On an adjacent table Polish player Grzegorz Gosk is turning up the heat, and he is right now sitting at a pretty 2.2 million chips.

Not Too Much Stalling

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

When the money bubble approaches there are usually some tables that move at a snail's pace. However, outside one or two tables, this isn't the case in the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany Main Event. The tournament is now just five eliminations away from the rest of the players finishing in the money.

Heartbreak for Kastenhuber

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

The bubble is quickly approaching in this 2017 partypoker LIVE Million Germany Main Event, and just five of the 105 remaining players will leave with nothing but a sad story to tell.

One of them is Thomas Kurt Kastenhuber, who is the latest casualty of the tournament after getting his last 300,000 chips in with {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} against the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} of Jc_Strider. The flop was safe, but a {4-} on the turn sent Kastenhuber halfway out the door, and no saving grace hit the river.

GG for je

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

German player je was down to his last 127,000 and didn't hesitate to commit them from first position. The action folded around to Mark Voges in the cutoff who reshoved for 377,000 and the button and blinds all released their hands.

Voges turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and was way out in front against the {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} of je, and the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop brought a little for everyone. The {K-Diamonds} turn gave je some additional outs for the win, and while the {A-Diamonds} rive did complete his flush, Voges made the full house to rake in the pot.

103 players remain.

Kassam Cracks Kings Right Before Hand For Hand Begins

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Rehman Kassam
Rehman Kassam

The tournament is at hand for hand with 101 players left.

Just before that happened, Reyman Kassam doubled up. Sandro Pitzanti opened up from the button with pocket kings. Kassam three-bet jammed for about 10 big blinds with ace-ten and Pitzanti called.

Kassam, who was an underdog to win the hand, got an ace on the flop to become a huge favorite. His hand held with blanks on the turn and river to bring him up to exactly 600,000 in chips.

Meanwhile, despite losing this pot, Pitzanti's stack grew as the bubble was approaching and had 1,600,000 in chips after the hand.
