Level 31 Begins

Level 31 has begun with blinds of 35,000/70,000 and an ante of 8,750, and "Stonniepokes" has taken the chip lead after winning a three-bet pot against Chris “rumpthumper” White that saw both players put 510,000 into the middle preflop before checking down a dangerous runout. When the two players reached showdown, "Stonniepokes" showed {8-}{8-} for nothing more than a pair, but it proved to be good and they took down the pot to overtake the chip lead.

"Stonniepokes" Challenges the Chip Lead

In Level 30 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, Chris “rumpthumper” White opened to 150,000 and received calls from both "Stonniepokes" on the button and "TheRealJanJurik," who was in the small blind.

The three saw the flop come {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and "TheRealJanJurik" checked. White ade a continuation-bet of 150,000 and "Stonniepokes" called. "TheRealJanJurik" folded, taking action heads up to the turn {7-Spades} where action checked through to the river {2-Hearts}. White checked once more and "Stonniepokes" made a bet of 240,000, which White called to take the hand to showdown.

"Stonniepokes" showed {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for aces up and White was unable to beat it. With the pot, "Stonniepokes" is now within a few big blinds of claiming the chip lead as five-handed play continues.

"Dume27" Eliminated in 6th Place ($264)

"Dume27"

In Level 29 with blinds of 25,000/50,000 and an ante of 6,250, Chris “rumpthumper” White opened to 125,000 under the gun and "Dume27" called in the hijack. Action went heads up to a flop of {4-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and White made a continuation-bet of 125,000. "Dume27" called.

The turn came {4-Clubs} and White continued again, betting another 225,000. "Dume27" called once more and the river fell {q-Spades}. White emptied the clip, firing a third barrel for 975,000, all but roughly 100,000 of both his and "Dume27's" stack sizes. "Dume27" called.

White tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a full house, nines full, and "Dume27" mucked to find themselves left with just under two big blinds. They were eliminated two hands later with ace-deuce in the big blind to the pocket jacks of "Malik256077," who was on the button.

Meanwhile, White now has amassed a sizeable chip lead as the tournament now continues five handed.

"borecz11199"
"borecz11199"

In Level 28 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an ante of 5,000, Chris “rumpthumper” White opened to 100,000 in the cutoff and "borecz11199" three-bet shoved for 335,000 on the button. Action folded back to White and he called.

Chris “rumpthumper” White: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
"borecz11199": {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

White spiked a ten on the flop {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to pull ahead, but "borecz11199" had 11 outs to stay alive. However, none would come as the turn {2-Spades} and river {j-Hearts} completed the runout to result in them taking seventh place in the tournament.

The final table of six has now begun, with chip counts for all remaining players provided below.

Three Quickly Fall; Hand-for-Hand Begins Once More

"CharlieBrown"
"CharlieBrown"

In Level 27 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,000, there was 310,000 in the middle from preflop action in a three-bet pot between "CharlieBrown" in the small blind and "Malik256077," who was on the button.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and "CharlieBrown" made a continuation-bet of 180,000. "Malik256077" called and the turn came {10-Diamonds}. "CharlieBrown" checked and "Malik256077" made a bet of 335,000, which "CharlieBrown" called.

With over 1 million in the pot and both players having less than 200,000, the river fell {8-Hearts}. "CharlieBrown" checked and "Malik256077" jammed for 168,000. "CharlieBrown" called all in for slightly less.

"CharlieBrown": {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
"Malik256077": {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

"CharlieBrown" had seen their flopped set of jacks become second best after "Malik256077" turned Broadway and they ultimately became the 10th-place finisher in the tournament.

On the following hand, "JonnyG" was eliminated by "borecz11199" after folding down to less than one big blind, and moments thereafter, "Dume27" eliminated "Bullsey88" to bring the number of players in the field down to seven.

Those eight players remain across two tables, and hand-for-hand play is in effect again until one more player is eliminated to bring about the final table.

"Bullsey8" Holds for the Double, "Million27" Busts, and "mooseman" Eclipses 2 Million

"Million27"
"Million27"

In Level 25 with blinds of 14,000/28,000 and an ante of 3,500, "Bullsey8" opened to 84,000 in the hijack and action folded around to "Million27," who was in the big blind and three-bet shoved for 305,000. "Bullsey8" called all in for 298,000, barely less, and both players' hands were shown.

"Bullsey8": {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
"Million27": {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

"Bullsey8" picked up a huge sweat as the flop came {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds} to give "Million27" the nut flush draw. However, the rest of the runout was smooth sailing as the turn {7-Diamonds} and river {k-Hearts} gave "Bullsey8" a pair of kings and scored them the double.

"Million27" was left with less than one big blind, and was eliminated moments later in 11th place.

With 10 remaining, "mooseman1710" has further increased their chip lead to over 2.1 million.
