partypoker US Network Online Series (July 26-August 2)

At the beginning of July, the partypoker US Network in New Jersey reached a sizzling conclusion when the WPT Online Poker Open, which combined fields from partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker crowned a winner. The Main Event drew a field of 868 entries, generating a lofty $317,540 prize pool which surpassed its $300k guarantee. It marked the largest ever event for the New Jersey online poker network surpassing the $302,100 prize pool for the $320 buy-in partypoker US Network $250K GTD back on March 29.

In the end, it was David "TheKing411" Coleman who emerged victorious for a payday of $56,586. In addition to the first-place prize, he also earned a WPT Championship Trophy and an $11,000 prize package which includes entry into the next WPT in-person live event, the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, which will take place at Bellagio in Las Vegas ($10,400 buy-in), as well as $600 in cash towards travel expenses.

In Level 14 with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500, "Lanfeust" opened to 10,000 under the gun and "borecz11199" three-bet jammed for 20,800 in the small blind. "Lanfeust" called.

Both players were in a coin flip situation and "borecz11199" needed to find help on the runout to double and stay alive. The flop brought no help, but the turn gave them nine more outs to a flush. Unfortunately for them, the river came to leave their hand unpaired, and "Lanfeust" earned the knockout and the pot with their rivered set of nines to take the number of players in the field down to 11.

As play began in Level 14 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, "MYSTICMOUNTAIN" got the last of their chips in from the small blind against "spinach_kale," who was in middle position.

"spinach_kale" hit a set on the flop and further improved as the turn and river gave him a full house as it completed the runout, eliminating "MYSTICMOUNTAIN" in the meantime and further expanding their chip lead.

"ItalianPotato" and "ELITEMALESSO" were also eliminated shortly thereafter, bringing the number of players left in the field down to 12.

The number of players in the field has dropped from 22 to 15 in the blink of an eye after registration has closed. Play is still in Level 13 with blinds of 1,800/3,600 and an ante of 450. Current chip counts are as follows, with "spinach_kale" holding a sizeable lead over the rest of the field.

In Level 12 with blinds of 1,600/3,200 and an ante of 400, "Luckyduck" opened to 6,400 in middle position and Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken three-bet shoved for 29,200 in the hijack. Action folded back to "Luckyduck" and they thought for about five seconds before calling.

Both players hit the flop , with Vanauken flopping a set of nines to pull ahead of his opponent's top pair and gutshot straight draw. The turn and river kept his three nines best and the pot of 66,000 was shipped his way.

In Level 11 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, action folded around to "EDESS," who was on the button and jammed for 42,200. Anthony “Flawlessbinkage” Maio called all in for 31,700 in the small blind.

Maio was out in front and in great shape for a double. The flop came , and the turn quickly appeared behind it. Maio now needed to fade a queen instead of a ten due to the backdoor draws to Broadway that both players picked up, and instead the river did nothing but pair the board, leaving Maio's queen kicker good to watch the pot shipped his way for the double.
