Buzgon Eliminated By Dodd

Dan Buzgon
Dan Buzgon

In Level 4 (2,000/4,000/500), "pay4medsch00l" opened for 8,000 from the hijack and Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd called from the cutoff. "Acexpress99" came along from the small blind before Daniel "leinad" Buzgon three-bet jammed for around 40,000 from the big. "pay4medsch00l" folded, Buzgon called, and "Acexpress99" got out of the way before the hands were turned up.

Daniel "leinad" Buzgon: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd: {q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}

Buzgon had a kicker problem with his ace, and while he paired his ten on the {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop, Dodd also paired his queen to maintain the lead.

The {a-Hearts} turn improved both players to two pair, while the {2-Spades} river sent Buzgon out of the tournament in 68th place for $232.50.

Eights Not So Great for "Wyeth"

In Level 8 (5,000/10,000/1,500), it appeared as if "Wyeth" got their last 320,000 or so all in preflop and was at risk against Anthony “Flawlissbinkage” Maio, one of the biggest stacks in the tournament.

"Wyeth": {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Anthony “Flawlissbinkage” Maio: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Maio had the bigger pocket pair and it held for the elimination after the board ran out {6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. "Wyeth" exited the tournament in 56th place for $247.50.

"FtheNYY" Fails to Catch

In Level 12 (12,000/24,000/3,000), there was three-way action on a {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop when "Livthanwen" checked from the small blind and "FtheNYY" moved all in for their last 98,000 or so. "RenZilla" was in the hijack and put in a big raise, which chased "Livthanwen" out of the hand.

"FtheNYY": {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
"RenZilla": {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

"RenZilla" was out in front which left "FtheNYY" looking for some help. The {7-Spades} turn didn't do it, and neither did the {6-Clubs} river.

"FtheNYY" failed to catch and was eliminated in 29th place for $360.

Michael Gagliano
Michael Gagliano

In Level 14 (16,000/32,000.4,000), Michael "Gags30" Gagliano got his stack of roughly 625K all in preflop and found himself in dire straits against "pay4medsch00l."

Michael "Gags30" Gagliano: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
"pay4medsch00l": {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Gagliano was looking for a deuce, but he was left wanting as the board ran out a clean {9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{k-Spades} to give the 1,346,054 pot to "pay4medsch00l," who extended their chip lead.

"chopsuey" Eliminated in 10th Place ($937.50)

In Level 20 (40,000/80,000/10,000), "chopsuey" jammed the button for 927,000 and "Ozzy_Rocks111" isolated by three-betting all in over the top from the small blind.

"chopsuey": {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
"Ozzy_Rocks111": {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"chopsuey" was in a bad spot but the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop gave them the only flush draw, though "Ozzy_Rocks111" did flop a set. The {10-Diamonds} turn completed the flush draw for "chopsuey," but their lead was only temporary as the {8-Hearts} river paired the board to improve "Ozzy_Rocks111" to a winning full house.

Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier Eliminated in 9th Place ($1,275)

Brian Sherrier
Brian Sherrier

Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier was left short after his pocket kings were cracked by sixes, and the very next hand it was Level 20 (40,000/80,000/10,000) when he had 154,726 and more than half of that in the big blind.

"ELITEMALESSO" raised to 160,000 under the gun, "monge" called from the small blind, and Sherrier called off.

On the {6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop, "monge" led out for 222,363 and "ELITEMALESSO" called to see the {3-Hearts} turn. "monge" bet again, this time 320,000, and "ELITEMALESSO" called to bring about the {4-Hearts} on the river.

"monge" fired one last time making it 400,000 and "ELITEMALESSO" called.

"ELITEMALESSO": {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
"monge": {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier: MUCK

"monge" had flopped middle pair and a flush draw but was never able to overtake the top pair of "ELITEMALESSO." Meanwhile" Sherrier mucked and he bowed out in ninth place.

"KingKong24" Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,725)

In Level 22 (60,000/120,000/15,000), it appeared "KingKong24" got their last 700,000 or so all in preflop and was at risk against

"KingKong24": {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Anthony “Flawlissbinkage” Maio: {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}

"KingKong24" was looking to improve to stay alive, but that proved easier said than done as the board ran out {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} to give Maio a winning straight.

"monge" Eliminated in 7th Place ($2,362.50)

It took awhile for the final table bubble to burst, but it finally happened when "monge" lost back-to-back hands in Level 25 (100,000/200,000/25,000).

In the first, "monge" raised the button to 600,000 and called when "pay4medsch00l" three-bet all in for 2,316,748.

"pay4medsch00l": {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
"monge": {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

It was a flip and "pay4medsch00l" held after the board ran out a lowly {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

In the very next hand, "pay4medsch00l" raised to 400,000 from the button and called when "monge" three-bet all in for 950,352 from the big blind.

"monge": {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
"pay4medsch00l": {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

"monge" was in a dominating position but disaster struck when the {9-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop delivered "pay4medsch00l" two pair. The {6-Diamonds} turn and {a-Clubs} river were bricks for "monge" and just like that the final table was set.

Anthony “Flawlessbinkage” Maio Eliminated in 5th Place ($4,125)

Anthony Maio
Anthony Maio

In Level 26 (120,000/240,000/30,000), Anthony “Flawlessbinkage” Maio moved all in for 1,313,808 from the cutoff and "pay4medsch00l" called from the button. Both blinds folded and the hands were turned up.

Anthony “Flawlessbinkage” Maio: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
"pay4medsch00l": {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

the {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop gave "pay4medsch00l" top set and Maio was drawing dead after the {3-Spades} peeled off on the turn. The meaningless {q-Diamonds} was run out on the river and Maio bowed out of the tournament in fifth place.
