"rags224" Delivers a Pile

"rags224"
"rags224"

In Level 7 with blinds of 600/1,200 and an ante of 150, "rags224" opened to 3,600 under the gun and action folded around to "Gman6260" on the button, who called. One more call was made from the blinds and the flop came {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

"rags224" saw a check ahead of them and then they made a continuation-bet of 6,900. "Gman6260" quickly put in a raise to 27,600, prompting a fold back to "rags224," who three-bet all in for 56,700.

"Gman6260" did not act so quickly this time around, thinking for a little while before electing to fold and allow the pot to be sent to "rags224" as a result.

WPT Online partypoker US
WPT Online partypoker US

Remember, the current series will culminate on Sunday with the $400 buy-in, $300K GTD WPT Online Poker Open powered by partypoker US Main Event. Satellites are running daily for that tournament, and as of Thursday night, 87 players have already punched their ticket to the big show via sattys.

Another aspect of the tournament were the two Phased flights, which allowed players not only the chance to qualify for the tournament, but to carry over more than the 1 million starting stack. On Tuesday, the Phased flight attracted 64 runners with only four of them surviving play. BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pro Michael "Gags30" Gagliano, who was recently a guest on the PokerNews Podcast, bagged a massive 2,535,888. Others to make it through were "jqbpk772" (1,517,662), "cenation" (1,350,308), and "phatalb15."

In Thursday's flight, there were 100 entries and a dozen of the players advanced with "spinach_kale" (1,742,341) out in front. Others who advanced with seven figures were "PokerKarma" (1,632,582), "sansara52" (1,444,068), and "nigock" (1,060,028).

Remember, the winner of the WPT Online Poker Open Main Event tournament will receive a Champion’s Trophy, a VIP WPT experience in Las Vegas, and an $11,000 package that includes entry into a WPT’s Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

There will be four daily qualifiers giving players a chance into the Main Event for a low as $5. There will also be a daily $45 buy-in satellite at 7:30 pm ET will take place on the partypoker US Network.

"rounder142" Check-Bombs the Flop

"rounder1420"
"rounder1420"

In Level 8 with blinds of 800/1,600 and an ante of 200, "rounder1420" limped in early position and saw "eddie11" limp in behind in middle position. Action folded around to "La_Flama_Blanca" in the small blind, who completed, and then "COMEATTHEKING" checked their option in the big blind.

Action was four handed as the flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and the first three players checked over to "eddie11," who fired 6,100. Both blinds folded, and then rounder1420 check-shoved for 43,300.

"eddie11" found themselves faced with a decision for their remaining 28,700 and opted not to commit it. Their fold resulted in "rounder1420" taking the pot down on the flop, bringing them back over a starting stack along the way.

"Gman6260" Gets Good Runout, WIns a Big One

"Gman6260"
"Gman6260"

In Level 10 with blinds of 1,200/2,400 and an ante of 300, preflop action saw 29,000 go into the middle and "Gman6260" had checked in the big blind. They were facing a bet of 21,000 from "sri100k," who was under the gun, and check-raised all in for effectively around 90,000. "sri100k" quickly called.

"sri100k": {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
"Gman6260": {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

"sri100k" had the double locked up as long as they could fade running cards. The turn {5-Spades} gave them a sweat as "Gman6260" picked up eight direct outs at a straight on the river. It fell {a-Spades}, completing a wheel and earning "Gman6260" the entire pot to bring their stack ofer a quarter million.

"mouse13" Toasted

"mouse13"
"mouse13"

In Level 11 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, "mouse13" found themselves having fallen below a starting stack. They three-bet shoved their last 34,700 in the hijack over an early-position open from "SugarJ" to 7,000, and "SugarJ" called the all-in reraise to send the two off to the races.

"mouse13": {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
"SugarJ": {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop came {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} to give "SugarJ" top pair, top kicker, and it remained best as the turn {5-Spades} and river {6-Hearts} completed the runout to result in "mouse13" being eliminated from the tournament shortly before the second break of the night.
