"rounder1420" Can't Pull the Trigger

"core4"
"core4"

In Level 23 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, "Core4" raised to 40,000 in the hijack and saw "rounder1420" call in the small blind and "gisappak" defend their big blind. The flop came {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and "rounder1420" led out with a bet of 60,000. "gisappak" folded and "Core4" called.

The turn came {6-Spades} and "rounder1420" led out again for 127,500. "Core4" called once more, bringing the river {7-Diamonds} where both players checked to take the hand to showdown.

"rounder1420" showed {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a missed couple of live overcards and "Core4" showed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}, good to earn the pot with their ace kicker to the board's pair of sixes.

"bigcakes1" Eliminated in 6th Place ($1,032)

"bigcakes1"
"bigcakes1"

Early in Level 24 (12,000/24,000/3,000), "MistaMenza" found a double through "bigcakes1" to leave them with under 200,000.

A couple of hands later, action folded around to "gisappak" in the small blind and they jammed to put "bigcakes1" all in in the big blind for 154,000. "bigcakes1" called.

"bigcakes1": {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}
"gisappak": {k-Spades}{5-Spades}

"bigcakes1" was unable to hit anything on the runout {4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and they were eliminated in sixth place as a result of their back-to-back unfavorable runouts.

In Level 24 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, "BigDickRick" jammed for 177,000 in the cutoff and "rounder1420" re-jammed for 364,000 in the small blind. "gisappak" was in the big blind and quickly called both shoves.

"BigDickRick": {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
"rounder1420": {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
"gisappak" {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

"gisappak" had virtually no sweat as the board ran out {2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to score the double knockout and reduce the number of players in the field from five to three in the blink of an eye.

"gisappak"

In Level 27 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, "MistaMenza" raised to 79,000 on the button and both "gisappak" in the small blind and "Core4" in the big blind called.

The three players checked through the flop {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and the turn came {10-Diamonds}. "gisappak" checked again and "Core4" bet 150,000. "MistaMenza" folded and "gisappak" called.

Action was then heads up as the river fell {k-Diamonds} and both players checked, taking the hand to showdown.

"gisappak" showed {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a turned flush and took down the pot as "Core4" mucked, unable to beat it.

"Core4"

In Level 27 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, "gisappak" opened to 90,000 on the button and "Core4" three-bet shoved for 637,000. "gisappak" called.

"Core4": {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
"gisappak": {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"Core4" got a sweat on the flop {j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} but the turn {k-Clubs} removed three outs from the list of cards that would spell disaster. The river {4-Spades} was safe and sweet, scoring them the double to take them back over 1 million.

"Core4" Chips Up Before Break

"Core4"
"Core4"

Players are on a five-minute break early in Level 28 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an ante of 5,000.

There was 337,000 in the middle on a board of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds} with action heads up between "Core4" in the big blind and "MistaMenza," who was on the button. "Core4" checked and "MistaMenza" made a bet of 200,000.

"Core4" check-raised all in for 771,000 effectively and sent "MistaMenza" into the tank for a few moments before getting a fold to earn the pot without needing to see a river, bringing their stack up to 1.73 million along the way.
