Are You Ready for the partypoker US Players Choice Series?

The current series will wrap this Sunday, but players won’t have to wait long for another. In fact, the following Sunday, December 13, partypoker US will kick off the highly-anticipated “Players Choice Series,” which features eight tournaments as voted upon by players.

“I'm excited for this series because the players got to choose every event,” Borgata Poker Ambassador Michael “Gags30” Gagliano told PokerNews. “It's a unique mixture of events that all types of players will enjoy. Some events that you don't see on the weekly schedule, and some events that are staples, just buffed up a bit for the series. It should be a great series and I'm looking forward to it!”

What’s more, PokerNews will once again offer daily live updates by covering every event in full!

Among the highlights are the $109 buy-in Event #2: $6,400 GTD Heads-Up, which will be capped at 64 players, and the $215 buy-in Event #7: Shootout 6-Max NLH. On Sunday, December 20, the series will conclude with the $320 buy-in Event #8: Sunday $40K GTD.

Hohner Fills Up to Take Sudell's Bounty

In Level 13 with blinds of 1,800/3,600 and an ante of 450, Ryan “TheSims” Hohner raised to 7,200 from the cutoff, Angel "chromeking" Lopez called from the small blind and Derek "pompii" Sudell squeezed for 30,823 from the big blind.

Action was back on Hohner who isolated after he raised to 57,600 and the two players tabled their hands.

Sudell had Hohner in rough shape until the flop dropped to turn the tides as it gave Hohner trip fours.

The sealed the deal for Hohner on the turn and the meaningless completed the board on the river.

On the last hand of Level 10 (1,200/2,400/300), there was three-way all in action on a board showing, Event #5 Champ Vinny “brownmagic” Pahuja had both his opponent's covered and all three players had their hands revealed.

"Edsebo" Doubles Through and Claims Sewing's Bounty

In Level 10 with blinds of 1,200/2,400 and an ante of 300, Dan “mj23style” Sewing open-jammed for 39,490 from under the gun, "Edsebo" came over the top for 89,550 from the button and Sridhar “sri100k” Sangannagari called from the big blind.

"Wyeth" Hands Lupo a Cooler

In Level 5 with blinds of 400/800 and an ante of 100, "FrankyFunk" raised to 2,000 from the cutoff, "Wyeth" three-bet to 6,800 from the button and Daniel "centrfielder23" Lupo four-bet to 19,800 from the big blind.

Action was back on "FrankyFunk" who mucked their hand and "Wyeth" jammed their 53,087 stack into the middle. Lupo called and the two players revealed their hands.

Marquee Event Slated for Tonight's Action

The halfway point of the latest partypoker US Network Online Series has officially passed and the largest buy-in of the series is on tonight's schedule with PokerNews's live coverage of Event #7: $25K GTD 6-Max PKO Bounty, set to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Featuring a buy-in of $535 with a Progressive Knockout format, $250 of each player's buy-in will go towards the prize pool while the remaining $250 will be placed atop their head as a bounty.

Each time a player is knocked out, half of their bounty will be awarded to their assailant while the other half will be added to that player's total bounty.

All within New Jersey are able to play across the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker are eligible to compete.

Starting stacks are 75,000 with blinds beginning at 150/300 and an ante of 40. Anyone who is knocked out will have the opportunity to re-enter as many times as they wish through the first 15 levels of play.

Levels are set to last 10 minutes each through the first four hours of play, meaning two-and-a-half hours of late registration will be available for all who wish to enter after play begins. Once play reaches Level 24, blinds increase to 12 minutes for the rest of the tournament.
