partypoker US Network Online Series (Oct. 11-18)

The partypoker US Network Online Series continues Friday night as Event #8: $20K GTD is set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Featuring a buy-in of $215, all within the state of New Jersey may compete across the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.

Players get 50,000 to start with blinds of 150/300 and an ante of 40. The first 20 levels will last 10 minutes each, and all subsequent levels will be upped to 12 minutes apiece. Late registration is available with unlimited entries for the first 15 levels, closing at approximately 10:15 p.m. ET.

Play is midway through Level 1 (150/300/40) and two more entries have been added to bring the total number of players in the field up to 30. Several players of note have already entered, including Borgata ambassador Daniel "Leinad" Buzgon.

Event #5 winner Yong "IReadYrSoul" Kwon is also among the early entrants, as are Jon "Jetsfan411" Borenstein, Mike "MistaMenza" Menzer, and Ted "roystalin" Ely.

In Level 4 with blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75, "illtiltyou" saw action fold to the small blind and completed to put action onto "Fischer2018", who raised their option to 2,400. "illtiltyou" came over the top with a pile, shoving for 45,000 to send "Fischer2018" into the tank for a few moments. They eventually called.

"illtiltyou" was out in front with tens and stayed there the whole way as the board ran out , giving them a small sweat at a backdoor gutter to fade before the pot of 92,200 was shipped their way.

In Level 7 with blinds of 600/1,200 and an ante of 150, "sri100k" raised to 2,400 under the gun and action folded around to "EmeraldForest32", who was on the button and three-bet all in for their last 9,800. Both players in the blinds folded, one of whom was recently-entered Borgata Ambassador Katie "KatieStone" Stone, and then "sri100k" made the call for 7,400 more.

"EmeraldForest32" found themselves needing to hit one of three outs and was able to connect on the flop . Even still, they had a nut flush and a three outer of their own to fade in order to stay alive. The random number generator computed in their favor as the turn and river completed the runout and "EmeraldForest32" earned the double.

Level 11 has just begun with blinds now reaching 1,000/2,000 and an ante of 250, and the tournament lobby reads 101 total entries, meaning the guaranteed prize pool of $20,000 has officially been exceeded with five full levels remaining in the late registration period for that number to continue to grow.

In Level 13 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, there was 40,900 in the middle on a board of with heads-up action between Alex "JInYang" Butcher in the big blind and Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd, who was in the hijack.

Butcher bet 10,200 and Dodd called, bringing the river . Butcher thought for a few moments and shoved all in for 41,400. Dodd immediately called and both players' hands were shown.

Despite hitting a pair of sixes on the river, Butcher's missed gutshot straight draw was caught by Dodd's top pair and the pot was shipped his way. Dodd had already chipped up to over 300,000 and was the chip leader prior to the hand, and has now further increased his stack to 440,000. Butcher wasted no time re-entering and received a fresh stack of 50,000.

Meanwhile at an adjacent table, Borgata ambassador Katie "KatieStone" Stone had found herself below 10 big blinds and shoved all in preflop from late position with offsuit, only to run into the pocket aces of Ted "roystalin" Ely. Stone was unable to crack Ely's bullets and she was eliminated from the tournament as a result.

Level 16 has just begun (2,000/4,000/500), meaning the late registration period has officially closed. A handful of last-minute entries has brought the total up to 143, generating a prize pool of $28,600. Of those 143, 45 remain across five full tables.

The top 20 will make it into the money and earn at least a first-level payout of $332. Payouts will escalate from there, with the winner set to earn $7,150. Full prize pool information can be found in the Payouts Tab.

In Level 19 with blinds of 3,500/7,000 and an ante of 875, Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier saw action fold to him in the cutoff and opened to 15,000. "NoRecourse" three-bet shoved for 123,000 in the big blind and Sherrier quickly called.

In Level 23 with blinds of 7,000/14,000 and an ante of 1,750, "supafishh" open-jammed for 101,000 in middle position and "ryanmco18" isolation-jammed on their direct left to force all remaining players out of the pot.

"supafishh" saw their chances go from bad to nearly dead on the flop of as "ryanmco18" flopped jacks full. They were left needing a perfect runout to a royal flush to stay alive and found just that as the turn and river appeared to save them in truly improbable fashion.

Less fortunate was "dibik8826", who found themselves out in 16th place earlier in the level.

In Level 25 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, "KevinDurant" was in the big blind and got the last of their chips in for a total pot of 350,000. "ryanmco18" gave them action in the small blind. When all was said and done, the board read .

Though "KevinDurant" flopped sevens up, it was no good to the kings up of "ryanmco18" and they were unable to find one of the two remaining cards in the deck that would keep them alive, resulting in their elimination from the tournament in 10th place.

Just a moment later, "RiverMan" was eliminated in ninth place by Dan "mj23style" Sewnig and the final table of eight has now been reached with Sewnig entering with the chip lead and a stack of over 2 million.
