Dodd Dusts Butcher; Eli Eliminates Stone

Ryan Dodd
Ryan Dodd

In Level 13 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, there was 40,900 in the middle on a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds} with heads-up action between Alex "JInYang" Butcher in the big blind and Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd, who was in the hijack.

Butcher bet 10,200 and Dodd called, bringing the river {6-Hearts}. Butcher thought for a few moments and shoved all in for 41,400. Dodd immediately called and both players' hands were shown.

Alex "JinYang" Butcher: {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Despite hitting a pair of sixes on the river, Butcher's missed gutshot straight draw was caught by Dodd's top pair and the pot was shipped his way. Dodd had already chipped up to over 300,000 and was the chip leader prior to the hand, and has now further increased his stack to 440,000. Butcher wasted no time re-entering and received a fresh stack of 50,000.

Meanwhile at an adjacent table, Borgata ambassador Katie "KatieStone" Stone had found herself below 10 big blinds and shoved all in preflop from late position with {k-}{8-} offsuit, only to run into the pocket aces of Ted "roystalin" Ely. Stone was unable to crack Ely's bullets and she was eliminated from the tournament as a result.

David "TheKing411" Coleman Talks About Big partypoker US Network WPT Online Poker Open Win

At the beginning of July, the partypoker US Network in New Jersey reached a sizzling conclusion when the WPT Online Poker Open, which combined fields from partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker crowned a winner. The Main Event drew a field of 868 entries, generating a lofty $317,540 prize pool which surpassed its $300k guarantee. It marked the largest ever event for the New Jersey online poker network surpassing the $302,100 prize pool for the $320 buy-in partypoker US Network $250K GTD back on March 29.

In the end, it was David "TheKing411" Coleman who emerged victorious for a payday of $56,586. In addition to the first-place prize, he also earned a WPT Championship Trophy and an $11,000 prize package which includes entry into the next WPT in-person live event, the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, which will take place at Bellagio in Las Vegas ($10,400 buy-in), as well as $600 in cash towards travel expenses.

David Coleman spoke to PokerNews about the win.

Level 15 Begins - Last Chance To Enter!

Level 15 has begun with blinds of 1,800/3,600 and an ante of 450. This 10-minute level is the last chance to enter or re-enter the tournament for all who wish to do so.

Six more entries were tallied in Level 14, bringing the total up to 132 with 54 players remaining across seven unfull tables.

Registration will close at 10:20 p.m. ET.

"Turkeyleg" Holds for the Double

"Turkeyleg"
"Turkeyleg"

In Level 15 with blinds of 1,800/3,600 and an ante of 450, all of the chips went in the middle with the under-the-gun "Turkeyleg" at risk for the 125,000 in their stack against Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd, who was on their direct left in middle position.

"Turkeyleg": {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} to give the two players three immediate chop outs should a ten come to bring two pair on board. It didn't come, nor did a queen as the turn {5-Spades} and river {9-Hearts} completed the runout and "Turkeyleg" doubled at Dodd's expense.

Level 16 has just begun (2,000/4,000/500), meaning the late registration period has officially closed. A handful of last-minute entries has brought the total up to 143, generating a prize pool of $28,600. Of those 143, 45 remain across five full tables.

The top 20 will make it into the money and earn at least a first-level payout of $332. Payouts will escalate from there, with the winner set to earn $7,150. Full prize pool information can be found in the Payouts Tab.

Hohner Wins a Flip To Stay Alive

Ryan Hohner

In Level 16 with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500, there was a raise to 8,00 and multiple calls before Ryan "TheSims" Hohner three-bet shoved in the small blind for less than 10 big blinds. He received one call from "Pokeher" in the cutoff.

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
"Pokeher": {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Hohner connected on the flop {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to pull ahead but the turn {k-Hearts} gave him three chop outs plus nine new flush outs to fade. He did so successfully as the river came {q-Spades} and the pot of 90,000 was shipped his way.

Dodd Reaches 750K

Ryan Dodd
Ryan Dodd

In Level 18 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 7,500, a three-bet pot preflop resulted in "Turkeyleg", Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd, and "odo23" all going to a flop of {j-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades} from the small blind, big blind, and cutoff, respectively. "Turkeyleg" bet 24,000 and both Dodd and "odo23" called.

The turn came {k-Hearts} and "Turkeyleg" bet another 77,000. Dodd came over the top, jamming to effectively put both remaining players to decisions for the remainder of their chips. "odo23" quickly folded to put action back onto "Turkeyleg", who deliberated for about 20 seconds before letting their hand go as well.

With the pot, Dodd now has a stack of 755,000 with just four tables left in play.
