partypoker US Network Players Choice Series (Dec.13-20)

Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski became the newest champion of the partypoker US Network Players Series Tuesday night after topping a field of 165 in Event #4: PLO 6-Max to claim the top prize of $8,580.

Featuring a $215 buyin, the tournament generated a total prize pool of $33,000. Over 100 players were already registered by the time play began, a number that would be solid on a Wednesday night even for a No-Limit Hold'em tournament.

That number climbed up to 165 over the two-and-a-half-hour late registration period, and that 165 eventually became just one when Tentnowski defeated Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell in a heads-up match that capped off a nearly two-hour-long final table.

In total, 18 players made it into the money. Other notables to walk away with some form of payday were Don "dhimp20" Himpele (11th place - $792) and Chris"rumpthumper" White (10th place - $792).

With such a large field, many more were left without chips long before the bubble burst. Some of those players included Anthony "Flawlessbinkage" Maio, Michael "miw210x" Wang, James "Bagels" Lillis, Matt "MattEMenz" Mendez, and Sridhar “sri100k” Sangannagari.

In Level 35 with blinds of 60,000/120,000 and an ante of 15,000, all of the chips had gone into the middle with Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell in the big blind and at risk for his tournament life against Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski, who was on the button. The runout was in the process of finishing up .

Tentnowski's flopped straight earned him the pot, resulting in him amassing every chip in the tournament to claim victory and earn $8,580 as he eliminated Campbell in second place. Campbell earned $4,950 for his performance.

In Level 32 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000, all of the chips had gone in with "CharlieLucky" at risk in the big blind against Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell, who was on the button. When the runout finished, the board read

"CharlieLucky" had flopped bottom two pair but ran it into Campbell's top two pair. Even worse, Campbell also held a trey in his hand to leave "CharlieLucky" with one three along with paired running eights or nines as their only chances to stay alive. Instead, the board ran out and they were eliminated from the tournament in third place.

In Level 32 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000:

Hand #1: "GrindUrGearz" opened the action with a raise to 240,000 in the cutoff and "CharlieLucky" called in the small blind. Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell three-bet to 960,000 and "GrindUrGearz" went all in over the top, forcing "CharlieLucky" out of the hand before Campbell called off his last crumbs.

The board ran out to give Campbell trip fives on the river and keep him alive.

Hand #2: On the very next hand, "CharlieLucky" raised to 160,000 on the button and Campbell called in the small blind. "GrindUrGearz" three-bet to 640,000 in the big blind and both players called.

The three saw a flop of and Campbell checked. "GrindUrGearz" shoved all in for 1 million and "CharlieLucky" folded back to Campbell, who called.

"GrindUrGearz" had gotten their aces in against a flopped set of kings and failed to pick up anything more than a backdoor Broadway draw on the turn . The river completed nothing and they were eliminated from the tournament as a result.

In Level 30 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, "CharlieLucky" raised to 130,000 in the hijack and Ryan "TheSims" Hohner called. All remaining players folded and "CharlieLucky" bet enough to put Hohner all in for his last 43,000 on the flop . Hohner called.

Hohner had a lower pair, open-ended straight draw, and backdoor flush draw with two cards remaining. The turn gave both players two pair, changing nothing to the river , which again left the situation unchanged as his hand remained second best and he finished in fifth place as a result.

In Level 28 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an ante of 5,000, a blind-on-blind battle saw Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell check-call all the way to the river on a board of , where he once again checked and faced a final bet of 494,000 from "GrindUrGearz" in the big blind.

Campbell called and "GrindUrGearz" tabled for the seven-high straight. Campbell mucked and "GrindUrGearz" took down the pot, taking the chip lead to go along with it.

In Level 26 with blinds of 16,000/32,000 and an ante of 4,000, "skip-973" had gotten all in on the button against "CharlieLucky" in the big blind and the runout was in the process of coming .

"skip-973" was unable to fade their opponent's overcards as the runout left "CharlieLucky" with a higher two pair to result in them being eliminated in seventh place.

In Level 23 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, four-way preflop action between "l3illal30ng" in the small blind, "Jinxy" in the big blind, "Bigtexas" in the cutoff, and "CharlieLucky", who was on the button saw 172,000 go into the middle.

"l3illal30ng" bet 20,000 on a flop of and then "Jinxy" raised to 110,000, almost all in. "Bigtexas" shoved over the top for 183,000 and "CharlieLucky" did the same for 713,000. "l3illal30ng" went deep into the tank and then found a fold, sending action back to "Jinxy" to call off what was left.

"CharlieLucky" proved to have too much to miss as the turn gave them a straight. They held on the river and scored the double knockout as a result.

"leoliondog", "ashylarry" and "Shipit2488" were also eliminated once the bubble burst, and "jitney0999" finally fell shortly after the double knockout. In total, that brings six eliminations, and two tables now remain as a result.

Level 16 has begun with blinds now reaching 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750. Accompanying the beginning of the level is the closure of the late registration period, meaning prize pool information has become official.

In total, 165 entries generated an overall prize pool of 33,000. The top 18 places will make it into the money and the eventual winner will earn $8,580. Complete prize information can be found in the Payouts Tab.

In Level 11 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, Michael "miw210x" Wang opened to 8,400 under the gun and action folded around to Ryan "TheSims" Hohner in the big blind, who three-bet to 26,600. Wang four-bet shoved for 42,790 and Hohner called.

Wang found a little bit of help on the flop as he picked up a gutshot to Broadway, but it failed to fill up as the turn and river completed the runout to earn Hohner the pot and leave Wang dry on chips.

Wang wasted no time re-entering after his elimination and received a fresh stack of 50,000 as a result.
