Stanton Tentnowski
Stanton Tentnowski

Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski became the newest champion of the partypoker US Network Players Series Tuesday night after topping a field of 165 in Event #4: PLO 6-Max to claim the top prize of $8,580.

Featuring a $215 buyin, the tournament generated a total prize pool of $33,000. Over 100 players were already registered by the time play began, a number that would be solid on a Wednesday night even for a No-Limit Hold'em tournament.

That number climbed up to 165 over the two-and-a-half-hour late registration period, and that 165 eventually became just one when Tentnowski defeated Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell in a heads-up match that capped off a nearly two-hour-long final table.

In total, 18 players made it into the money. Other notables to walk away with some form of payday were Don "dhimp20" Himpele (11th place - $792) and Chris"rumpthumper" White (10th place - $792).

With such a large field, many more were left without chips long before the bubble burst. Some of those players included Anthony "Flawlessbinkage" Maio, Michael "miw210x" Wang, James "Bagels" Lillis, Matt "MattEMenz" Mendez, and Sridhar “sri100k” Sangannagari.

The series and its PokerNews coverage will resume Thursday at 8 p.m. ET for Event #5: $320 PKO Bounty. See you then.

Kevin Campbell
Kevin Campbell

In Level 35 with blinds of 60,000/120,000 and an ante of 15,000, all of the chips had gone into the middle with Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell in the big blind and at risk for his tournament life against Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski, who was on the button. The runout was in the process of finishing up {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski: {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Tentnowski's flopped straight earned him the pot, resulting in him amassing every chip in the tournament to claim victory and earn $8,580 as he eliminated Campbell in second place. Campbell earned $4,950 for his performance.

A full recap of the tournament will be posted shortly, so hang around for a few more if you're up for it.

Tentnowski Doubles Once More To Reclaim Chip Lead

"Stonniepokes"

In Level 35 with blinds of 60,000/120,000 and an ante of 15,000, Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski raised it up to 240,000 on the button and Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell defended his big blind.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Campbell check-raised a continuation-bet of 306,000 from Tentnowski, making it 1.42 million to go. Tentnowski three-bet jammed for 2.6 million and Campbell called.

Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Tentnowski's top two pair was in need of fading hearts, fives, and fours, and much to his fortunes saw a compliant runout of {q-Clubs}{a-Spades} earn him the double and once again take back the chip lead in the match.

In Level 34 with blinds of 50,000/100,000 and an ante of 12,500, Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski raised to 200,000 on the button and Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell three-bet to 600,000 in the big blind. Tentnowski called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Campbell continuation-bet 612,500, which was half the size of the pot. Tentnowski called to bring the turn {9-Spades}. Campbell continued with a second barrel, this time for the size of the pot at 2.45 million.

Such a bet was for around 80% of his stack, and Tentnowski opted to fold and march on, though not without relinquishing the chip lead back to Campbell along the way.

Hand #1: In Level 32 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000, almost immediately after the heads-up match began, Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski got his last 918,000 into the middle preflop in the big blind against Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell, who was on the button.

Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Tentnowski's aces held with ease as the board ran out {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} to give him a full house and earn him the double.

Hand #2: In Level 33 with blinds of 45,000/90,000 and an ante of 11,250, a few minutes later after the level changed, the two players got to the river on a board of {4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} with relatively little action: there was 472,000 in the middle and Campbell checked in the big blind to Tentnowski, who was on the button.

Tentnowski bet 283,000 and Campbell check-raised to 1.32 million. Tentnowski came back over the top, reraising all in for around 2 million and Campbell called.

Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Both players hit full houses on the river, but Tentnowski had kings full of sevens to trump Campbell's kings full of fives and earn him a second double.

"CharlieLucky" Eliminated in 3rd Place ($3,630)

"CharlieLucky"
"CharlieLucky"

In Level 32 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000, all of the chips had gone in with "CharlieLucky" at risk in the big blind against Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell, who was on the button. When the runout finished, the board read {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

"CharlieLucky": {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}

"CharlieLucky" had flopped bottom two pair but ran it into Campbell's top two pair. Even worse, Campbell also held a trey in his hand to leave "CharlieLucky" with one three along with paired running eights or nines as their only chances to stay alive. Instead, the board ran out {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and they were eliminated from the tournament in third place.

"GrindUrGearz" Eliminated in 4th Place ($2,640)

"GrindUrGearz"
"GrindUrGearz"

In Level 32 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000:

Hand #1: "GrindUrGearz" opened the action with a raise to 240,000 in the cutoff and "CharlieLucky" called in the small blind. Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell three-bet to 960,000 and "GrindUrGearz" went all in over the top, forcing "CharlieLucky" out of the hand before Campbell called off his last crumbs.

Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
"GrindUrGearz": {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to give Campbell trip fives on the river and keep him alive.

Hand #2: On the very next hand, "CharlieLucky" raised to 160,000 on the button and Campbell called in the small blind. "GrindUrGearz" three-bet to 640,000 in the big blind and both players called.

The three saw a flop of {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Campbell checked. "GrindUrGearz" shoved all in for 1 million and "CharlieLucky" folded back to Campbell, who called.

"GrindUrGearz": {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

"GrindUrGearz" had gotten their aces in against a flopped set of kings and failed to pick up anything more than a backdoor Broadway draw on the turn {j-Spades}. The river {4-Spades} completed nothing and they were eliminated from the tournament as a result.
