Nuts vs. Second Nuts for "TonyBluffingJr"

Blinds: 200/400

"Jonney" and "TonyBluffingJr" went heads up to a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. "Jonney" checked to "TonyBluffingJr", who bet 3,000. "Jonney" check raised to 9,500, "TonyBluffingJr" called, and the {j-Clubs} hit the turn. This time, "Jonney" fired 19,850, "TonyBluffingJr" called again, and the river brought the {5-Clubs}.

"Jonney" thought for a bit before firing 26,500, half his stack, but "TonyBluffingJr" wanted to play for more, moving all in for 56,000 and change. "Jonney" called with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for the second nuts, but "TonyBluffingJr" flipped over {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for the nut flush to take down a massive early double up.

Lupo Extends His Chip Lead

Daniel Lupo
Daniel Lupo

Blinds: 1,000/2,000

Daniel “centrfieldr23” Lupo kicked off the action with a raise to 4,000, and in the small blind. "Zdvol632" reraised to 12,000. Lupo called, and the flop came down {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}. "Zdvol632" continued for 10,000, Lupo called, and the {5-Hearts} hit the turn.

This time, "Zdvol632" fired 19,500, but Lupo wanted to play for more, setting "Zdvol632" call in. He quickly called with pocket aces, but he was drawing dead to the {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Lupo, who had turned a straight.

With that pot, Lupo soared into the chip lead, as he is the only player over 400,000.

Chris “rumpthumper” White Busts Out

Blinds: 10,000/20,000

Chris “rumpthumper” White moved all in from early position holding Ace-Jack, but he was dominated by the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} of "jerseyman99." The board ran down {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and the jacks held up to send a nice pot over to "jerseyman99."

Ryan “TheSims” Hohner Crippled, Eliminated Just Before the Money

Blinds 14,000/28,000

We are now directly on the money bubble, after Ryan “TheSims” Hohner was just eliminated in 47th place. The hand that did most of the damage saw Hohner move all in from under the gun holding Ace-Jack. Unfortunately for him, "ImSooNutz" woke up with {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} a few seats over, and called all in for just a few thousand less.

The flop came Hohner a good amount of hope, as he caught a pair and straight draw for a possible chop, but he would catch no further help. Hohner would be eliminated on the next hand, leaving us with just 46 players.

Nice Knockout for "FRIELnGood"

Blinds: 20,000/40,000

Action started with "Jermz" raising under the gun to 100,000, and it folded all the way around to "FRIELnGood" in the big blind. He would move all in, having "Jermz" covered, and he would call it off with two black nines. Unfortunately for him, "FRIELnGood" held a dominating {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and the ladies would hold true on the runout of {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}.

With that, just 20 players remain. Stay tuned for a full list of chip counts to be posted shortly.

Ted “roystalin” Ely Eliminated in 8th Place ($2,275)

Blinds: 60,000/120,000

Ted “roystalin” Ely and James ‘Bagels’ Lillis went heads up to a flop of {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Ely checked to Lillis, and after he continued, Ely moved all in with {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Lillis would call him with a dominating {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}, and the {7-Hearts} turn meant that only another queen on the river would save Ely. The {3-Hearts} came instead, and Lillis scored the first knockout fo the final table.

Michael “IIIIIIIIIIIII” Haberman Doubles, Then Gets Eliminated

Michael Haberman
Michael Haberman

Blinds: 60,000/120,000

Michael “IIIIIIIIIIIII” Haberman was down to just a few big blinds when he shoved all in with {a-Spades}{2-Spades}. He was dominated by the pocket eights of "Gohednpopoff", but an ace on the flop, and another one on the turn scored a double up for Haberman.

His success was short lived however, as he would bust just two hands later, with "Gohednpopoff" getting revenge, and scoring the knockout of his short stacked opponent.

”upayformypennys” Eliminated in 6th Place ($3,575)

Blinds: 60,000/120,000

”upayformypennys” raised to 300,000, and next to act, big stack Yong "IReadYrSoul" Kwon rereaised to 900,000. It folded back to ”upayformypennys”, and he moved all in for his final 3.7 million. Kwon snap called with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}, and he was crushing the two red sevens of ”upayformypennys."

The board came down {q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}, and the kings held to strengthen Kwon's already lengthy chip lead.

James ‘Bagels’ Lillis Eliminated in 5th Place ($4,225)

Blinds: 70,000/140,000

Catching up with the action on the turn of a board reading {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, chip leader Yong "IReadYrSoul" Kwon bet out 1,050,023. James ‘Bagels’ Lillis called, and the {4-Diamonds} completed the board. With about 3.7 million already in the middle, Kwon bet enough, 2.2 million and change, to put Lillis all in. He would call with {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but it was no good, as Kwon showed {k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a winning two pair.

This leaves just four players, with Kwon still holding a big lead.
