Kings Cracked Again To Burst The Bubble

"EmeraldForest32"
"EmeraldForest32"

In Level 24 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, Matthew "Gailums" Gailums open-jammed for 175,000 in the hijack and "EmeraldForest32" called all in for 96,000 in the cutoff. All remaining players folded and hands were shown for the runout.

"EmeraldForest32": {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Matthew "Gailums" Gailums: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

"EmeraldForest32" only found themselves in commanding shape for a quick second as the flop {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} came to nearly quadruple the number of outs they had to sweat. The turn {9-Hearts} was just fine, but the river {5-Diamonds} spelled doom as Gailums improved to the nut flush and eliminated "EmeraldForest32" on the direct bubble in 21st place.

The Bubble Continues Into The Break

Daniel Sewnig
Daniel Sewnig

The tournament is on a five-minute break.

In Level 24 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,250, two all-in preflop scenarios ensued on the last hand before the break on adjacent tables.

The first hand saw "kevmo15" get all in with pocket tens and hold against the ace-nine of Kevin "sofcknsick" Campbell after "kevmo15" folded down to just two big blinds.

Moments later, David "TheKing411" Coleman three-bet jammed over an early-position open and Dan "mj23style" Sewnig called all in for slightly less, putting him at risk of becoming the bubble boy.

Dan "mj23style" Sewnig: {a-}{k-}
David "TheKing411" Coleman: {k-}{k-}

Luckily for Sewnig, an ace came on the flop to put him in a position where he only needed to fade a one outer. He did just that, ultimately ending up with trip aces to score the double.

Twenty-one still remain on break, and short stacks on the bubble have been provided below.

Young Delivers a Cooler on the Bubble

"yolegacy"
"yolegacy"

In Level 23 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and an ante of 1,250, action folded to "yolegacy" in the cutoff and they opened to 18,800 after finding a recent spin up to nearly 200,000. Orson "Borgatcha" Young three-bet to 52,000 in the small blind and "yolegacy" called, taking action heads up to the streets.

The flop came [{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Young checked over to "yolegacy", who bet 59,500. Young check-jammed for 144,000 effective and "yolegacy" called off their remaining chips, only to see the bad news.

"yolegacy": {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Orson "Borgatcha" Young: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

There were no other cowboys in sight as the turn {2-Spades} and river {a-Spades} completed the runout, adding insult to injury as Young earned the knockout with his set of aces to bring the field down to 21.

Hand-For-Hand Play Begins

In Level 22 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an ante of 1,000, "RiverMan" has just eliminated "BlckJck" fro the tournament. Moments earlier, "mamoosh" was also knocked out, and the pair of eliminations brings the field down to 22. Two eliminations are now needed for play to reach the money, and hand-for-hand play is in effect across the three remaining tables until that feat is accomplished.

One such player who just staved off elimination is "l23weeeeeeee", who simultaneously found a double with pocket queens to the pocket eights of Ryan "TheSims" Hohner as hand-for-hand play began.

"yolegacy" With the Miracle Quadruple; "Capi61580" Less Fortunate

"yolegacy"
"yolegacy"

In Level 20 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750, "yolegacy" got their last 15,000 into the middle preflop on the button with calls from "kevmo15" in the small blind, "Capi61580" in the big blind, and Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken in the hijack.

The flop dropped {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} and "kevmo15" checked. "Capi61580" jammed for another 45,000 and Vanauken called, prompting a quick fold from "kevmo15".

"yolegacy": {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
"Capi61580": {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Vanauken was way out in front with a shot at a double knockout, but the turn {8-Spades} saved "yolegacy" and earned them the quadruple right then and there. Vanauken was still ahead for the side pot and he remained there as the river {k-Spades} completed the runout, eliminating "Capi61580" as a result.

Others to fall as of late include Anthony "supremetny" Chin and Don "dhimp20" Himpele as 26 players now remain across four tables and only six more eliminations are needed to reach the money.

"MsFancy" Gets the Easy Dub

"MsFancy"
"MsFancy"

In Level 19 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, "MsFancy" open-jammed for 45,000 in the small blind and John Allan "treetrap" Hinds thought for a few moments in the big blind before finding a call.

"MsFancy": {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}
John Allan "treetrap" Hinds: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

An ace was the first card to roll off as the board ran out {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to earn the easy double for "MsFancy".

Less fortunate of late were the likes of Katie "KatieStone" Stone, John "Slapshot1085" Forlenza, and others as just 34 players now remain.

Lopez Finds a Favorable River

"chromeking"
"chromeking"

In Level 18 with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500, "audidriver" shoved in a starting stack from the hijack and Angel "chromeking" Lopez called in the big blind.

"audidriver": {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Angel "chromeking" Lopez: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}

"audidriver" was significantly ahead through the flop {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} and turn {k-Hearts}, but the river {7-Diamonds} was one of the three cards in the deck that could improve Lopez to the best hand, and as a result Lopez earned the pot and the knockout while "audidriver" re-entered as the final minutes of the registration period continue to tick off the clock.
