Ryan Hagerty

On Thursday night, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty followed up his Wednesday night victory of Event #3 in the partypoker US Network Online Series with a second consecutive win, taking down the $320 buy-in Event #4: $30K GTD PKO 6-Max for $9,223 ($4,039 in prizes + $5,184 in bounties).

The tournament drew 89 entries and paid nine places, with Hagerty taking a massive chip lead shortly after the 15-level late registration period came to a close, one he only briefly relinquished at the final table during four- and three-handed play to eventual runner-up Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo.

The tournament took nearly six hours to play to its completion, with roughly one-third of that time being amassed at the final table. Once Ryan "TheSims" Hohner was eliminated in seventh place ($724) on the final table bubble, over five 10-minute levels were played before "ndirish50" became the next to solidify their payday. Jon "jetsfan411" Borenstein also made it into the money, busting in ninth place ($516 + $562 in bounties) just after Anthony "supremetny" Chin re-shoved pocket fours into Lupo's pocket aces to finish in 10th place and burst the bubble.

Plenty more were involved in the action, only to fall short of the money. BorgataPoker.com Ambassadors Katie "KatieStone" Stone and Daniel "leinad" Buzgon were among those, as were Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken, Ryan "whosyourdoddy" Dodd, and David "TheKing411" Coleman.

PokerNews coverage will continue on Friday for Event #7, a $215 buy-in $25K GTD NLH 6-Max at 8 p.m. ET. A full list of the remaining tournaments in the series has been provided below.

Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo Eliminated in 2nd Place ($4,035 + $994 in Bounties)

Daniel Lupo
Daniel Lupo

In Level 31 with blinds of 35,000/70,000 and an ante of 8,750, Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo opened to 140,000 on the button and Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty defended his big blind. The flop dropped {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Hagerty check-called a continuation-bet of 108,000 from Lupo.

The turn came {10-Spades} and Hagerty check-called another 335,000, bringing the river {2-Clubs} where he checked for a third and final time. Lupo thought for a bit and then emptied the clip, jamming for just shy of 800,000, and Hagerty immediately called.

Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Both players had turned two pair, with Lupo's tens up falling prey to Hagerty's kings up to result in Hagerty amassing all of the chips in the tournament. Lupo's runner-up finish earned him $4,035 plus another $994 in bounties, totaling $5,029 for his efforts.

Meanwhile, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty has won his second event of the series in as many nights, this time earning $9,223 total for his victory. Stay tuned for a recap of the action.

"dadadada"

In Level 30 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty open-jammed in the small blind on the very hand after doubling to take the chip lead, putting "dadadada" all in for their stack of 700,000 and immediately receiving a call.

"dadadada": {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty: {j-Spades}{3-Spades}

A double seemed all but certain for "dadadada" after the flop {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}, but they were unable to fade running spades on the turn {6-Spades} and river {q-Spades}, resulting in Hagerty backing his way into a flush to eliminate "dadadada" in third place.

Don "dhimp20" Himpele Eliminated in 4th Place ($1,781 + $263 in Bounties)

Don Himpele
Don Himpele

In Level 27 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty opened on the button and Don "dhimp20" Himpele re-shoved for 523,000 in the small blind. Hagerty called after "dadadada" folded their big blind and the two were off to the races.

Don "dhimp20" Himpele: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The flop {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} was more than Himpele's fives could handle, as the turn {a-Hearts} left him with just one shot at the two remaining fives. Neither came on the river {j-Clubs} and Himpele finished in fourth place as a result, earning a collective $2,044 for his performance.

Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John Eliminated in 5th Place ($1,290 + $487 in Bounties)

Michael St. John
Michael St. John

In Level 26 with blinds of 16,000/32,000 and an ante of 4,000, Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John opened on the button and called all in for 400,000 total after facing a re-shove from Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo in the big blind.

Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

St. John was ahead all the way until the river, but the runout ultimately finished {5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts} and proved to be just too much to fade. St. John's fifth-place finish is good for a total prize of $1,777.

"ndirish50" Eliminated in 6th Place ($932 + $375 in Bounties)

"ndirish50"
"ndirish50"

In Level 26 with blinds of 16,000/32,000 and an ante of 4,000, "ndirish50" open-jammed for 284,000 under the gun and "dadadada" re-jammed in the hijack for 571,000. Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo was next to act in the cutoff and also jammed, folding everybody else out of the hand.

"ndirish50": {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
"dadadada": {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Lupo's actually picked up outs on the flop {q-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts} depsite the case ace giving "dadadada" top set. However, no jack was in the forecast as the turn {2-Clubs} and the river {9-Hearts} completed the runout and "dadadada" scooped both pots for more than a double, eliminating "ndirish50" in sixth place along the way.

Himpele Dubs Through Hagerty

Don Himpele
Don Himpele

In Level 23 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty opened on the button and Don "dhimp20" Himpele three-bet shoved for 237,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Hagerty and he called.

Don "dhimp20" Himpele: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

Himpele remained ahead on the flop {4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, watching Hagerty pick up a few backdoor outs. One of them became a real possibility on the turn {8-Diamonds}, but Himpele faded the gutter and the ace on the river {j-Clubs} to double and increase his stack to over 500K as six-handed play continues.

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner Eliminated On The Final Table Bubble

Ryan Hohner
Ryan Hohner

In Level 21 with blinds of 7,000/14,000 and an ante of 1,750, Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo open-jammed on the button for 180,000 effective and Ryan "TheSims" Hohner called all in for that amount in the small blind.

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Hohner was ahead but racing, and wound up losing the race as the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to leave him drawing dead by the turn to Lupo's kings up. His elimination in seventh means the six remaining players have all officially reached the final table; updated chip counts have been provided below.

Hand-For-Hand Play Resumes

"joey1way"
"joey1way"

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, "joey1way" re-shoved for 177,000 on the button over a cutoff-open from "dadadada", who called when action got back to them.

"joey1way": {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
"dadadada": {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

No help came for "joey1way" as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, missing their three outer plus an additional four backdoor gutshot outs to a chop to bring about their elimination from the tournament.

Jon "jetsfan411" Borenstein was also eliminated shortly beforehand, losing a monstrous pot to Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty after his ace-queen ran into king-ten on an {a-}{q-}{k-} flop, even further increasing Hagerty's chip lead as the final table looms near: just seven players now remain and hand-for-hand play is in effect again until the final table bubble bursts.

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, Anthony "supremetny" Chin three-bet jammed for 191,000 on the button over a cutoff-open to 27,000 from Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John in the cutoff. Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo re-jammed in the small blind and folded everybody else out of the hand.

Anthony "supremetny" Chin: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Chin was unable to find a four as the board ran out {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} and he was knocked out of the tournament in tenth place, officially bubbling Event #4. All nine remaining players are now in the money and will earn at least $516 for their efforts.
